  1. Baerga said on his Instagram Live that there's a 85% chance Ramirez becomes a Jay. Now whether happens now or at the trade deadline depending on how Cleveland is doing is TBD.
  2. It's pretty much how it played out with Semien who was coming off a down year. Chapman will uptick in HRs just going from Oaklands ballpark to the Rogers Center. I'm expecting great things from Chapman who will be on the verge of looking for his life setting payday. I'd love if we could lock him up longterm now.
  3. Especially when you consider Grichuk would take up like 20% of their overall payroll lol.
  4. Ya it could be the Edwin situation where the Braves actually got a great player instead of the corpse of Morales. I'm sure we'll find out the truth in a few days.
  5. The luxury tax provides 0 fear to the Dodgers. I'm sick of them living at their crazy payroll lol.
  6. 150M for Freeman. The Braves really couldn't match that for him instead of sending out prospects for Olson?
  7. If he makes it out of spring training without an injury, I'll be shocked. I really hope you're right though, his stuff is NASTY.
  8. Current lineup is deeper but the current team cannot touch the trio of Donaldson/Jose/Edwin. 2015 also had the better defense and bullpen while the current team has better starting pitching. In the end, it's a toss up. But doesn't it feel great that we're just starting out contending window? We knew 2015 only had a few seasons of elite baseball left and it was even shorter than that.
  9. So if we're not extending all those guys because we're going to be financially strapped, we will need young prospects to take their place no? Otherwise there will be a drastic drop off in terms of talent a few years from now. We are just in the beginning of our contending window, let's not make shortsighted moves that will make this era only last a few seasons. The whole difference between AA going all in for 2015 was because of the ages of our core players. We're in a completely different situation right now.
  10. Ya I was listening to Moresi tall about that infields potential to be one of the best infield today. I was like that would be one of the best infield of all time lol.
  11. I was going to make a joke but erased what I had typed out since I actually like Osuna lol.
  12. Is there even a point to give up that much for 1.5 seasons of a guy you probably can't afford to keep? We have extensions to Vladdy/Bo/Teo/Gurriel/Chapman to worry about by that time. We'll need a new wave of young/cheap controllable talent ready to contribute if we want to sustain our winning ways.
  13. He already signed elsewhere and is on the 60 Day DL I think lol
  14. We need to add one impact reliever. We have pretty much kept the same pen from last year, which we'd all agree would be the worst amongst all the elite teams. Ideally, I'd like Romano as the 8th inning guy with a shut down closer.
  15. Surprised Bryant got that much money. He has been too inconsistent to be getting that much money. Makes the Semien deal look better too.
  16. I wouldn't give either based on Jose probably leaving us in 2 years since I doubt we can keep everyone.
  17. I edited my post but I meant including both.
  18. It's thread worthy given the excitement going around lol. If this gets shut down quickly then we can lock it but it's good to FAP in one thread until then.
  19. No chance that's true. It's more likely Pearson + Biggio + Martinez or Groshans.
  20. Omg you can talk!?! Might be the first time I saw words from you lol
  21. CF Springer SS Bo 3B Vlad RF Teo 3B Chapman LF Gurriel C Jansen/Kirk DH Kirk/Grichuk 2B Biggio/Espinal
  22. Perfect world, we trade one of our catchers, Grichuk and maybe someone else to fill our remaining needs. A left handed 4th OF that can play CF when Springer is out and a top end bullpen arm are my top priorities. People keep mentioning Dickerson but forget his noodle arm out there.
  23. I am friggin so happy. There were so many game changing errors at 3B last year and now we have a stud there. On top, there's hope you can get his bat back to normal after enough time to heal from hip surgery, there's no reason not to LOVE this deal.
  24. Ya there's no way I'd want the Jays to give Freeman 6/180. I had hoped there would be some rumours of Correa with the Springer connection and all but we haven't heard a peep. I think it's unrealistic to expect 2 moves like a Schwarber/Chapman but we definitely need to make one impact infield signing to replace Semien. Now let's see what Shatkins do
