    Maybe its because I don't see huge variances behind the plate as I do at 3B. As long as you're not Gary Sanchez of course lol

    We didn't have to wait long for another elite defensive 3rd baseman after Donaldson. I'd probably say that 3B is the 3rd most important defensive position in baseball after SS and CF.

    I'm surprised we didn't announce a 6 man rotation to begin the season. Although I guess Pearson and Stripling can piggy back off the current starters since I doubt most of them won't be going deep anyways.

    Ya I'm not doubting that. Just wanted to point out what actually happened. Sometimes it does benefit having players in certain spots because of how you get pitched, which definitely happens for some.

    Wonder if they'd make an exception for a player who doesn't cut his hair for religious beliefs.

    But when we moved him back to the 3 spot he regained his swing, which is why we kept him there.

    Springer Bo Vlad Teo Chapman Gurriel Kirk Biggio Espinal or whoever is DH Vlad struggled when we put him in the 2 spot last year. It could have been a coincidence but I'd rather stick with what worked already by keeping him in the 3 spot. Ideally whoever is our best fastball hitter should bat 2nd. Bo swings at everything reagrdless so it does feel like a waste having him bat before Vlad. And surprised with Kirk batting 5th. I do like the kid but i think he needs to provide he can be elite for a consistent period before his projections seem believable. Or maybe we're just putting him 5th to show Cleveland that we're offering a middle of the order bat for Ramirez. Hopefully this means no Valera pinch hitting either lol

    I think that's clearly some ********. My guess is that he used this time to get vaccinated to make him more appealing to teams, especially if he plays in the AL East.

    Does anyone know where that prospect ranks in our system? Grichuk pretty much got a full seasons worth of at bats last year so I wouldn't consider that an issue. Grichuk would still have been part of our top 9 lineup since we don't have a full time DH.

    Ya I was far from a Grichuk fan but he was easily our best option at CF when Springer is out. That part seems more important than ensuring our 4th OFer is a left handed bat. Only thing I don't understand is that if Tepia is supposed to be a lot faster than Girchuk, how bad are his reads and route running to not be able to play CF? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

    Definitely not. Just see a particular issue that I don't think will be improved upon but I can be wrong obviously. Just my opinion.

Is there any rule in baseball where you're not allowed to trade a recently re-signed player? If anything, this would actually increase his trade value.

    I dunno... seems like a safe bet that Gurriel still doesn't know how to run routes at a major league level. Y’all made fun of me last year when I said Biggio would suck at 3B so whatever lol.
