  1. Coming from a guy who literally just comments but provides 0 insights from his end because that would require too much thinking. Your stance on this team the past few years is what made most of our eyes bleed lol.
  2. You can't move a gold glove 3B who you paid 40M just to keep Devers there can you?
  3. He will never get more than 40M per season in free agency so it's safe to say he'll be a Red Sox for 3 years. Dude got paid like he was coming off his MVP season or something. Lol
  4. Ya that's exactly my point... just highlighting a big reason why we're not contenders. Legit feel like we're one big bat away from that. Hoping Shatkins can shock us with a trade none of us see coming.
  5. I'm shocked he got 40M per season. Why the hell are there even opt outs here lol
  6. Relying on projections for a guy who barely has any MLB experience is hilarious. Hope the kid can become good but no real contender should be banking on guys like him in the middle of their order. Instead their performance should be looked upon as surplus value as you have no clue what version of the kid shows up to Spring Training.
  7. Wow... why even play the games since we got projected wRC+ telling us we're good lol. This offense is not good enough as currently constructed, plain and simple. With a near 300M payroll, im hoping for more than an average level offense at best. Maybe up your standards in life...
  8. That lineup just isn't good enough to compete, getting 1 more big bat is massively important. Also, what a waste of defensive talent it would be to keep Gimenez at 2B when you have him locked up for 6 years.
  9. https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/43780755/2025-mlb-free-agency-spring-training-intel-rumors-updates-passan-bregman-arenado He's certainly not lacking suitors. Among the teams that have shown -- and continue to show -- interest in the 30-year-old third baseman are the Tigers, Astros, Red Sox, Blue Jays and Cubs.
  10. Padres were also smart to trade Soto at the start of free agency last year. This front office trying to trade Vladdy now would have a lot less serious suitors on the market as theyve already spent their money on first baseman's. They'd know the Jays can't keep him if he gets to the market now. This has a chance to become a disaster but I truly think Rogers will step in to override Shatkins who are potentially in their final season here. Big week coming up!!
  11. Report: Padres open to trading Bogaerts, Cronenworth -https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/3213842/amp
  12. Where does the vladdy extension between 375 and 500M land, before or after trading him?
  13. Then what's Myles Straw gonna do? Lol
  14. When u gotta rely on those things, that's when 2023/2024 happens offensively. Bo is the only reasonable player you can count on a real bounce back.
  15. We got Springer AND Straw, you'd think getting Bregman would be easier lol.
  16. https://en.albat.com/thebigs/MLB-The-Only-Team-Meeting-the-Contract-Demands-of-Alex-Bregman-and-Scott-Boras-20250207-0006.html So many conflicting reports lol
  17. Get to it Ross, get this team 1 more big bat!
  18. https://nypost.com/2025/02/06/sports/alex-bregman-knows-what-he-wants-and-is-holding-out-for-it/?utm_source=reddit.com Apparently Houston has upped their original offer to Bregman.
  19. Santandar played 130 games at LF last year while Bo/Vlad play almost everyday in the field. J.D would still get about 120 starts at DH and be an important pinch hitter during his off days. We don't need to see Kirk/Springer/Wagner roll through the DH spot ever again.
  20. Until Kirk shows he's actually a good enough hitter, his ass needs to sit when he's not catching. Keep the DH spot for players who are elite hitters and only Vlad/Bo/Santandar fit that criteria on our team.
  21. Alonso at his worst puts up better numbers than everyone but Vlad, Bo and Santandar . With the DH spot still open, this team desperately needs that type of output.
  22. We signed Belt and Turner for each of the past 2 years lol.
  23. Signing both of those guys literally turns this team into a powerhouse. Bo - Bregman - Vlad - Santandar- J.D. - Springer - Varsho - Kirk - Gimenez One of the best offensive/defensive teams in the AL.
  24. That's the part that's going to kill us... hoping for a career year from a guy like Varsho. I've seen enough for the past 2 seasons to have no expectations of that. This team needs to find a big bat through external means.
