    Jays can literally go from a joke offensively into a must watch team if we land Alonso. Would still prefer Bregman because of his fit defensively but I'd still be super happy with him.

    A day later and I'm loving the signing even more, the contract was a friggin steal man. We just paid KK 10.5M last season and are paying Santandar 14M per season. I love to crap on Shatkins as much as anyone but I will fight you if you don't like this deal lol.

    Ya for sure... just wanted to show the versitility with the lineup positionally that we can add the best player from Spring Training or maybe even sign a J.D. Martinez to the lineup. I even snuck Gimenez at SS and Bo at 2B, which I truly hope we are going to do to maximize their values defensively lol.

    I'm very confident that we'll sign one of Alonso/Bregman depending on whoever gives us the better deal. 2B Bo 3B Bregman 1B Vlad LF Santandar RF Springer CF Varsho C Kirk DH Whoever SS Gimenez This team can still win the Team Gold Glove while being MUCH better offensively. We add a decent starter and I'm drinking the kool-aid to do damage next year.

    How the Jays went from 4/84 to 5/92 with heavy deferrals is amazing. We went from one of the most absurd deals with Straw to this was much needed for my Jays fandom. While id love Alonso, Begman just makes so much more sense defensively. We saw how important defense at 3B with Chapman vs the crap we had before there. Vlad being there for majority of the season might make people go crazy lol.

    This is an A signing. 18.5M AAV with deferrals after coming off 44HRs is amazing value for a power deprived squad. Most were thinking that a 5 year deal would come close to 110M without deferrals. Santandar should be the upset one, earning only 13M more with deferrals than what Straw gets lol. Now add Bregman on a similarly structured deal while getting the best/cheapest SP4/5 and this team is ready to roll.

    Shatkins never got to truly go big fish hunting in Cleveland/here and were too stupid to realize they were being played. It's like a hot girl using a nerd to pass tests and then ignoring him afterwards. Let's move on rather than trying to rationalize their stupidity because some of these takes are bad lol.
