Not mad at that. Would rather 3b. Hopefully its true.

I think you gotta put hernandez in a position where he'll get fastballs. He needs a threat behind him.

"Jays, already having a big week/winter, have been in touch with SS extraordinaire Andrelton Simmons"

Yeah but if the show was doing well, the money wouldnt have been an issue. Tim staying is probably because he's a good host, but it seems like they felt they needed new a dynamic, because ratings were poor. Also, it isnt guaranteed that tim is staying because they said they'll have rotating guests with tim until furthere details are announced. Not saying sid didnt want to leave, but if the show was doing well they wouldve gave him enough to stay. I dont really like overdrive either, but apparently they are killing it in their time slot.

Yeah, I wish we couldve gotten both, but seems pretty unrealistic in hindsight. If we got Lindor, the mets wouldve never let springer slip away. But instead they got lindor and were limited with how much they could spend, allowing us to get springer. It was probably always going to be one or the other and not both.

I think ratings were bad. I believe they were getting killed by overdrive on tsn 1050. A new a boss at sportsnet too, I believe. Probably wanted a change and it was time. I follow some guy on twitter who usually has the insight on these things and he was suggesting the two wouldnt last months ago. They were a good duo though.

Add a solid starter, a 3b and maybe another solid bp arm, I can see it.

Grichuk is the 4th OF. If they sign Brantley, thats when things get interesting.
  12. RobinThicc
Sounds like he's selling the Jays and Brantley on this, instead of the Jays getting Springer to convince Brantley. Obviously a trade would need to be lined up.

Yeesh, that 6th year. It had to be done though.

Not sure, but I remember Passan earlier this offseason saying that he fully expects the Dodgers to have one of those guys, whether thats re-signing Seager or signing one of the other big names. So I guess they'll have the budget. I want to say it was also Passan who speculated that the Giants and Tigers could also be players for one of those guys, but that could've been someone else.

I doubt Springer would actually give a s*** about this. Gross thing to do though. And weird as f*** considering he pretty much talking to himself lol
  22. RobinThicc

  23. RobinThicc

Andy Martino: "After Kluber threw a well-attended bullpen session in Florida last week, several teams began bidding aggressively, including a previously unknown suitor: the Toronto Blue Jays. This pushed Kluber’s base salary past what many in the industry expected, considering his recent injury history. According to league sources, the Yanks actually did not submit the highest offer for Kluber. There were multiple teams willing to pay more than $10 million." https://sny.tv/articles/how-corey-kluber-deal-happened-and-what-it-means-for-yankees-rotation
