The Mets’ offer is parked at 10 years, $325 million. Lindor has not come off his counter for a dozen years and more than $50 million more. Of course, this can change in an instant. But to this point, neither side has engaged, and the Opening Day deadline Lindor set is now here. My guess is Lindor is confident in his ability have a bounce back year. If he has a typical Lindor season, 10/325 will be there in free agency. Wouldve loved Lindor on this team, but the Jays probably dodged a bullet tbh.

Fair enough on wedgewood. Worth noting andersen hasnt been good for a couple years now. I just think they reallt need to move on, even if it is for someone less established. We know what andersen is going to do, and its not good enough.

Andersens goaltending on the pk alone shows he's a not good fit. Leafs should want to play high event hockey, so they can get more use out of their elite powerplay, but the refs usually balance things out, so the leafs need a goalie who can actually make a save when their team is down a player. Andersen cant.

go on whatever site you want and compare things like their high danger sv %, GSAx, etc. You put some of those guys on the Leafs, their numbers would blow andersens out of the water. Only thing andersen has on those guys are his 5v5 save%, but he's on a much stronger 5v5 team than those other guys.

All those guys are clear upgrades on andersen. Beet case Andersen is done for the year or you can dump him off to another team.

I dont need to be a gm to call one dumb. Salary cap is fine, they can add a player if they really want to, with retention and also having a third team retain more. Based on past deals, retention doesnt cost that much. Theres a handful of pending ufa goalies that are decent on bad teams. Not hard to find one, if they really want to. Regardless, they shouldnt go into the playoffs with Andersen and Campbell as their guys
