    I dont need to be a gm to call one dumb. Salary cap is fine, they can add a player if they really want to, with retention and also having a third team retain more. Based on past deals, retention doesnt cost that much. Theres a handful of pending ufa goalies that are decent on bad teams. Not hard to find one, if they really want to. Regardless, they shouldnt go into the playoffs with Andersen and Campbell as their guys

    The game is still on the radio, its just not a dedicated radio broadcast. I dont think its going to be as big a deal as some think it is. Dan has experience calling games on the radio. He'll probably call the game as if it was just on the radio, which will come off as unnecessarily descriptive on TV, but still not a big deal.

    Definitely could be, but I imagine if they had strong ratings it'd be worth it.

    I guess radio ratings for Jays games must be low and not worth having its own broadcast.

    No doubt the current system is better than a hard cap, but the pa essentially there be a soft cap, hence teams signing contracts like Bauers, Walkers, Wilsons, without getting a floor. Any type of salary cap should come with a floor.

    The luxury tax being a thing pretty much acts as a soft cap. You can blow past ilthe threshold if you want, but theres still an incentive not to.

    I think its hilarious how the players union essentially let there be a soft cap but didnt get a floor in return. So poorly run.

    Doesnt sound like they'll be playing most of the season at Dunedin. Seems like they'll be transitioning to Buffalo or Toronto (most likely Buffalo) in May or June.

    I mean they apparently were making offers for Lindor last offseason, so they've definitely wanted an upgrade there for a couple years. Wanted Simmons at the deadline last year. Would have to think that Simmons would've played SS. Idk if they really believe in Bo at SS. Or at least believe he can become an elite defender there. Which they may want at the shortstop position. Bo definitely has something to prove this year.
