    Man, this Red Sox game is brutal. Every inning they have these people on the broadcast talking about having cancer. I don't wanna hear this kinda talk when I'm trying to escape with watching a ball game.

    Man, I can't believe the Angels continue to roll out Pujols in the lineup every day. The guy's atrocious and he's always batting 5th or 6th in the lineup so he's always ruining any momentum that club might be having offensively. If one looks at his numbers, it's clear he's a bum, but I guess because he's a "big name" they feel the need to keep on rolling him out there. So dumb.

    The Mets just keep winning! 1 inning away from winning both games of a doubleheader. Not gonna lie, it'd be fun to see Stro pitch in the playoffs again.

    Hmmm, I've really enjoyed listening to A-rod on the broadcasts. I've found him surprisingly personable. Mendoza sucks, but I guess it's kinda cool to have the female touch on the air.

    Yeah, I'm a fan of Frazier, I was hoping he'd be a piece coming back for Stro. Frazier really hasn't had much regular playing time and has definitely shown some glimpses of what he could become.

    I dunno man, it's a retarded statement that the official made. What's it supposed to imply that Thor and Degrom will have him "fit right in like he's supposed to"? Is he suggesting that Stroman should feel intimidated by these 2? It's just a petty thing to say about a player who has been the face of the franchise for so many years as he's on his way out. Whether there was any racist overtones or not, it's simply not a good look.

    Come on guys, that was a pretty f***ing ridiculous comment. He's been in the league as long as Degrom and longer than Thor. With that in mind, what is one supposed to deduce from the Blue Jays officials comment? It was an idiotic quip and quite frankly I can't blame anyone for believing that there's racist overtones in it.

    Well said. There should've at least been another decent prospect coming back in the package. A promising A ball pitcher and a decent but aging guy struggling in AAA hardly justifies a return of one of the best pitchers on the market. I still can't believe how bad they f***ed that one up. The Fisher deal doesn't bother me as much, but I still don't really see the sense in it, especially considering the prospect piece added in the deal. For me, this would be a real make or break deadline in regards to my opinion on Atkins and he predictably fell short. I think it's time Shapiro goes another direction with the GM position.

    Yeah, I'm hoping for the best and hopefully the 2 pieces pan out and are important pieces of the rebuild, but it doesn't change the fact that they should've been able to get more. I like the drafting that this front-office has been able to do, but they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to trades.

    Nicely put. Once trades started happening, there'd be a bench mark and other teams would probably up the ante. I don't see much sense in being the first team to make a big trade with one one of the most sought after chips if the deal wasn't going to be a no-brainer.

    I'd put Stroman in a league ahead of Minor and Boyd and probably Ray too. For one thing, Stroman deserves more accolades for performing in the AL East. I mean Boyd's had a great year but he pitches in the AL Central, one has to take that into consideration. Even Clevelands offense to me seems a bit s***. But you're right. No need to rant and rave about it I suppose. I've said my piece. Maybe they'll hit with the 2 prospects and it'll look like a good deal with hindsight, it just doesn't like a very smart gamble.

    What exactly has Stroman done off the field to warrant such negativity? He's pretty much avoided any public life controversy from what I can gather and everything from what I've seen from him in interviews would appear that he was very proud to play in Canada and for the Jays. I know he had some dumb tweet about Goins and stuff like that, or him barking at the BoSox bench or whatever, but it's certainly not anything that I'd put too much stock in. I always personally found the passion to be refreshing.
