  1. Not really looking forward to watching Randal Grichuk for the next 5 years
  2. At the end of the day, it's a business, so the original rumor was clearly B.S... But honestly, I could imagine it affecting negotiations a little bit
  3. He talks a lot of words without really saying much. Seems a bit intellectually simple, but he is an athlete after all
  4. KP just ripped a double to give the Giants a 2 run lead against the Cubbies. Man, this is some run they're on! I'm actually rooting for em. A lot of likable vets on that team and it'd be cool to see Bochy back in the playoffs in his final year. I've been rooting for Pillar, too.
  5. Anddddddd Osuna gives up a 3 run jack to Olson in the 9th and Miley's pissed! haha
  6. Gotta hand it to the Stro's. They really are in a league of their own as far as the advanced technology goes. Even Wade Miley's been putting up a damn solid year for them. He's pitching a gem against the A's right now too. 8 scoreless innings so far, might a have a chance to go for the complete game shut-out.
  7. While the Cashner/Stroman comparison was ridiculous, lets not go overboard. Cashner is still a reliable back of the rotation type guy.
  8. Yeah man, everyone still reminiscing about that 2016 season I guess. I mean, it probably does come down to his finger thing, but he can't hold up, they should change course and put him in the pen already.
  9. I don't see the appeal in all of these "smart appliances" at all. Who needs it? It's retarded.
  10. Man, Sportsnet is always trying to hype up Sanchez. The guy has been a sack of crap going on 3 seasons now and if he doesn't get pulverized one game they'll sing his praises... I really don't get why they're bothering, or maybe they're actually just that stupid.
  11. Surprised they DFA'd Kingham, he was looking half-way decent... Could've been a good innings eater at the least.
  12. Our friend Tercet has been quite quietly lately I've noticed
  13. CRUSHED! Gurriel's the man!
  14. f***kkkkkkk... was hoping for at least a run there
  15. Amen. His baseball IQ is what I remember most about him too. Fangraphs has him listed at 5'11 185 pounds, but I think that might be a little rich, the guy didn't have the typical baseball body but he made the most of his ability. ***Edit*** Just checked his rookie card, had him at 5'11 180, so I guess the listing is accurate. I guess guys just look a little smaller on TV, especially in the steroid era
  16. Yeah, he's still so young, it'd be dumb to worry. But it definitely hasn't been the start we were all expecting. Let's remember though, even Trout came up and struggled initially. Hopefully the big guy can turn it around soon and end the season on a high note.
  17. He's learned from the Jedi master himself. I didn't see a lot of Craig Biggio growing up with him being in the national league and cable TV and all, but damn, his stat page is a thing of beauty. And just as I type this, another walk:cool:
  18. I think he's grinding a bit. His body language has completely changed, not seeing much of that winning smile anymore. Defensively it's been a bit of a disaster for him too. Guess this vindicates Shapiro and Atkins a bit to all the people who were pissed that he wasn't promoted earlier.
  19. Nice defensive inning
  20. He's putting on quite a performance!
  21. Looking at his game log, it is a little better than I thought, but he's not making a lot of hard contact. Mostly just singles.
  22. Nice play Teo! Thing of beauty
  23. Yeah man, he's looked lost. I hate to say it, but it might be worth sending him back down for a bit. Just for a few weeks like how they did with Gurriel. I think he needs to clear his head. I don't think the home-run derby was a good idea either, probably acted as a bit of a distraction for a kid who mentally needed the break.
  24. Vladdy bouncing out again. Kid's had a brutal July.
  25. Man, the Giants have been on a TEAR. Only 2.5 games back of the wildcard lead. Definitely didn't see that coming! Pillar's been hot and his numbers are beginning to normalize. Will be interesting to see what they do as a team at the deadline.
