  1. Sanchez still being Sanchez I see. Today will give him the Blue Jays starter biggest loss streak in franchise history, right?
  2. Yikes, that's pretty damning. I guess the big-league pitchers have a book on him now. The kid is so young, so there's no need to panic, but I'd be lying if I said that his start hasn't been a little disappointing.
  3. Yeah, that's what I'm assuming the game plan is or he would've been up by now.
  4. Yankees. I think we'll be getting back Frazier as part of the return.
  5. I hear ya Spank. I'm not worried either, but I still didn't foresee him being replacement level after his first 250 AB's. I think most of us are pretty bright baseball minds, this isn't our first rodeo, but damn... Would've been nice to see a better start to his career.
  6. Maybe, but there's something to be said about letting a kid come up letting him have at it. Even if he struggles, let him work through it. From what I understand, Vlad also partakes in winter ball, so I don't think he needs to be treated with such a fragile mindset. There's been times where he busts out and has a huge game after struggling and then Montyo benches him the very next game.... I just don't see the rationale behind it. He's not some worn down veteran.
  7. God damn it. It looked like the Jays were finally beginning to heat up a little bit and put it together, then 2 Orioles s***-ballers come into town and hold the offense to 1 run a game.
  8. Great post, a lot of good points made. The guy is still so young, so it's understandable that he might come up and be a little overwhelmed, especially with all of the pressure that the Toronto/Canadian media put on him. A lot of highly touted prospects come up and struggle initially, it's part of the game. Still, I'd be lying if I said that Vladdy's season so far hasn't been a little disappointing.
  9. I'm really having a hard time understanding why Vlad is given so many days off. He's 20 years old, I'd have him in the lineup everyday as long as he's healthy and feeling good. If you take into consideration the off days, he's spending quite a lot of time off the field for being our best prospect. If they want to make sure he doesn't spend too much time on his feet and don't wanna overwhelm him at 3rd, they could give him a break by starting him at DH every once in awhile. I'm just getting the feeling like he's having a hard time getting locked in at the plate, so I'm not seeing the rationale behind having him ride the pine every 4 or 5 games.
  10. For sure man, one of the best I've seen. I can't believe the metrics have him as a bad defender.
  11. Against the Orioles though haha
  12. Me neither. Have you ever looked at Roberto Alomar's defensive metrics? No f***ing way those are accurate stats!
  13. Anyone surprised Vlad aint pinch hitting for Drury here?
  14. Haha I thought he was over matched and should be sent down too. What a difference a couple weeks can make.
  15. Jeeze! What has Danny Jansen been eating? He looks great! Awesome to see cause I was genuinely starting to have some doubt about him.
  16. He's definitely a Biggio!
  17. Yeah, it's also to be expected that he'd have an uptick in power coming to the Dome from Petco
  18. Giles in here for a showcase? Don't see any other reason why he'd pitch in a 7 run blowout.
  19. Is he coming back from an injury? I thought he was starting regularly in AAA
  20. Does look like a pretty small crowd for a Friday/giveaway night. I guess the Grichuk Ran-Doll isn't enticing the casuals.
  21. f***ing eh Gurriel!
  22. Anyone know why he got the early hook? I'm just tuning in now and looking at the box-score and his pitch count was in excellent shape.
  23. Baseball's changed, my good man. Players rarely try going the other way anymore, it's all about pulling and launch angle.
  24. EDDY! That'll potentially help out a lot of Yankees RL backers.
