  5. This was after the game from her accounts. I hope she wasn't stupid enough to ask to meet him during the game lol.
  6. What the Dodgers did to the woman who caught that ball was terrible. Refusing to authenticate if she didn't accept their offer should not be allowed. The moment they said Ohtani couldn't meet with her would have been the moment I walked out. If it isn't important enough for him to meet with a plebe it isn't important enough for him to have in my opinion.
  7. Especially when you consider BABIP isusually higher for ground balls than it is for fly balls. That being said, I bet their line drive rate is very low and their popup rate is above average.
  8. From many Japanese speaking people who watched the interview it was misinterpreted and in their language could mean someone met with them.
  9. I'm not even sure this narrative makes sense when comparing Davis to IKF. Here's their batter run value on four seam fastballs last year.
  10. meh, it's not exactly a secret and Davis himself has talked about it on broadcasts. I'm more curious if a 92 mph fastball is really the type that Davis struggles against?
  11. Not trying to troll at all. I'm just pointing out those two pitchers particularly are not as terrible in the recent past. The Jays hitting has been terrible and should have everyone worried about it given how it has looked and how it was last year. I'm not sure why anyone would expect differently given they more or less decided to roll it back with minimal changes in personnel. I'm sure privately Schneider is worried too but he's smart enough to know saying it in a post game interview will do no good.
  12. Civale looked pretty good yesterday against the Rangers, who many would argue are amongst the best lineups in the AL. Littell has also looked very good (3.41 ERA, 3.89 FIP last year) since transitioning to a starting role.
  13. At this point 2021 Vlad is definitely the outlier. He's got that in there somewhere but sadly it may take a different voice to get it out of him again. People always point out that Vlad was better in minor league stadiums and that is the reason for his success that year, but didn't Dante Bichette also disappear from the team when they came back to Toronto (I remember guessing at the time he was unvaccinated)?
  14. April 3 Vladdy - 1 Point - Dylan Bichette - 2 Points Turner - 2 Points - Spanky Springer - 3 Points - wilko Varsho - 4 Points Kirk - 5 Points Biggio - 5 Points - Abomination Kiner-Falefa - 7 Points Kiermaier - 7 Points The Bench (Any PH): 10 Points - mphenhef
  15. Clement for me please and thanks
  16. Blanco was throwing it all spring a lot more than he did last year so I would think a good advanced scouting program would be checking out Astro's fifth start candidates in spring knowing you'd be facing them in the second series...maybe not though.
  17. Guys need to work out their hands like Reese McGuire so there is lots of muscle to protect those little bones.
  18. Who cares? He has veteran presents.
  19. I can't help but feel like there is still an issue with advanced scouting or preparation with this team. It just feels like too often a guy they should perform very well against locks them up, especially when it is a young pitcher (of all qualities) that they haven't seen before. We've seen it last year (and for the most part this year in a SSS) where the first time through the order our batters struggle. Last night they looked absolutely lost up there like they had no clue this guy had a changeup. Yes, it was new from last year but he threw it in spring. Advanced scouts should be watching Astros fifth starter candidate spring starts given the early schedule I would think? Maybe these players are too stubborn to listen but I doubt that is the case team wide.

  21. Maybe he has a window to join a team after March madness brackets are done and before fantasy football season starts.
  22. Schneider for me today please
