  1. For what it is worth, I appreciate the Cole's notes that you added here.
  2. Maybe Bonilla is that guy, although still only in the FCL
  3. He hasn't looked great this season and has somewhat lucked his way into not blowing one so far, but there are far too many Jays fans who think closers never fail and always have clean innings when that is simply not true even for the elite guys.
  4. I think Garcia has more value in the current role he is in. He's facing the best hitters in the other lineup or high leverage situations regardless of if it is the ninth or not.
  5. You've got to hand it to the opposing pitcher.
  6. I wouldn't personally as that feels like too much to give up especially with some concerns around Gallen this year. If you could sub another prospect in for Wood I think it would make sense though as TINSTAAPP and Mayo strikes out a ton which would concern me..
  7. His point is the answer is so obvious it doesn't warrant asking. Although I suppose given the incompetency of this front office they might keep both Vogelbach and Votto on the roster.
  8. that probably said just as much about the Jays system as it did about Nimmala
  9. I wonder what the market for Jano would be. A lot of the contenders are already set with young guys they like or options they would likely stick with over Jano. Taking a quick look I see Giants (maybe but hard to see them picking Jano over Bailey) Rays (But Jano doesn't strike me as the player they would spend on) Tigers, Reds, Padres Cubs (I could definitely see them making a play for him)
  10. Counterpoint, The complete inability to draft and develop any relievers after ten years forced them to make a trade for an RP. A well run team shouldn't need to trade for relief pitchers every single year.
  11. Even the Rockies win the odd series against competent teams
  12. I'm tempted to take Bryce Harper to guarantee no homerun this afternoon. I'll take Varsho though.
  13. Danny Jansen for me tonight.
  14. I'm guessing he is referring to missing the obvious sarcarsm? But then agian he might have missed yours
  15. He has ten and five rights so it might not have been their choice.
  16. Ideally, but this front office has failed miserably at that
  17. So go with a pure speed guy like Cam Eden.
  18. He strikes me as a guy who would make an excellent commissioner; although I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to be better than Selig or Manfred. You know if Shapiro took over the Rays and A's stadium situations would have been sorted far sooner. Also, the all star game I believe is his next project/goal with the Jays.
