  1. Acquired from the Pirates. Was part of the Marlin’s stable. I really like this move and think he has a good chance to start this year and be a solid 5/6 SP.
  2. Wrong on this one Spank. Great move!
  3. Yes, loved him when with the Marlins
  4. Me too! However, would be super expensive capital wise and doubt Brewers move him. They are willing to move Hauser.
  5. If I were to wager, I would say Lopez to the Cards for a bat/OF.
  6. Kickuchi. No way they off load Merrifield. Too valuable.
  7. I think we might have a trade brewing with the Marlins boys. Not us and the Marlins, just a Marlins SP on the move. The Marlins just signed Cueto. The only explanation I can think of is that they did that to allow them to move an SP or pitchers plural. Miami doesn’t need starters, they need offense.
  8. Kennedy killed a girl and they voted for him for 40 yrs. At least Bauer didn’t kill anyone…
  9. Send Biggio for Houser from the Brew Crew. Gives the Crew some salary relief also.
  10. Yes, I think he hit over .400 career with bases loaded.
  11. The bench of Sprague, Tabler, Derek Bell, Winfield, (depending who was DHing) ,Mulliniks and Alfredo Griffin was pretty good.
  12. Another playoff vet who has won a WS. There is that also.
  13. I loved him more than, BB and Vlad coming up.. He was my boy Blue... However, we started drifting apart and I hardly think of him anymore.. No love, no calls, nada.. Sometimes you just have to cut bait and turn the page... Hopefully we will get a decent RP that can pitch late innings and bump Richards out of there also.
  14. I was just about to post the same...
  15. But, but he is a lefty bat?? I thought they wanted another righty bat?? Mancini would probably give just as much production, play OF and 1b back up and is a righty hitter. I do like Belt though in a vacuum. When not hurt,a great hitter. I just thought they wanted a righty...
  16. Montreal was the financial and business hub and the biggest city in the 60s. Then they had all the Quebec separatists and language ******** and it started a decades long transition flight of people, business and capital to Toronto. Toronto ended up surpassing Montreal in just about everything except titty bars and nightlife.
  17. Thanks Pat. I hear they work out a lot and eat healthy.
  18. There might not be Sabre definition. However, there is a definition of an ACE from inside baseball. It is the pitcher that will stop your losing streak or put you in the best position to win every five days at a higher and more consistent level then the average pitcher and the one most likely to on a staff.
  19. Thats not true. https://dodgersnation.com/dodgers-trevor-bauers-past-teammates-talk-about-his-personality/2021/02/07/
  20. The Mariners started the same year as the Blue Jays. How have they gone 56 yrs??
  21. Pollock is off the board, he is hanging with Teo and is an M. Oh well..
  22. You guys find a spot for me in the league and I would give my first born and left nut for Varsho in my C or CF position.
  23. My gut tells me that there will be a cooling off period and some team will make a back room deal that IF Bauer attends some type of counseling, becomes an advocate for violence against women groups, donates a large % of his salary to similar type groups, issues a public apology and shows remorse. If Bauer basically checks a lot pf PR boxes, then contingent upon all the aforementioned, the team will allow Bauer showcase or roster spot etc, etc and then let him pitch.
