  1. I could see this happening and then him sucking so bad in the 2nd half he loses his rotation spot. A la Seattle 2021
  2. There is a difference between on base ability and situational hitting ability. Varsho got a sac fly yesterday, has good overall power. I think a guy like Varsho is exactly who you would want in the 5th/6th spot for RBIs assuming your top hitters are getting on base.
  3. There not wrong, pretty ugly and look low budget…. https://fansided.com/2023/03/08/freddie-freeman-canada-wbc-uniforms/?a_aid=40734&fbclid=IwAR2IccD8Jq5h4jXMALtKhd2XeNvpajcgfrCAObPUBXMLULUA618gOp4NN18
  4. That and his physique. I am telling you, Pat Tabler is sooo regretting retiring early.
  5. Is Stone available?
  6. I would say diluted vs a 12 teamer etc, but worthless? 2-1 = 21st overall and there is still a lot of value to be had in the 20s if you draft well.
  7. Chapman's agent just asked for another $10 million
  8. So I suspect that our former OFs would have probably been an out at 3rd base or got caught in a run down on the bases with the ball hit to the 3rd base side. I also suspect they wouldn't have been on 2nd in the first place. I am also pretty sure that the ball hit to Varsho in LF wouldn't have been caught. So run prevention OF, SBs, and no extra outs on the basepaths. Those little things add up.
  9. Painter’s elbow?
  10. Brownie and I agree. Happy Weekend!
  11. This is why back in the day, I always preferred to have sex for the first time with a girl I would meet in either February or March. If I didn’t live up to her expectations, I could always say, relax baby, I’m still in spring training mode. Just wait until April or May and I promise I will give you the best 30 seconds of your young life.
  12. I didn’t get the feeling he was talking about a professional MLB FO as much as he was to “others”.
  13. Blue Jays Journal is asking if we are a good match for a Dodgers trade. They need a SS and we need pitching… The thing is, if we move Espinal, who is our back up SS? Not sure if Barger is ready yet and I think the FO sees him as more of a 3b/2b correct?
  14. One of your two personalities has been very prominent lately and not the good one. You are one of the tools that says all is great and then when someone says is it? You criticize them, normally with your more angry personality. Then if the person actually ends up right, you criticize them for stating, hey, remember when you were aggressive as f*** reference my opinion and look at the results. You get all a crazy again for the poster pointing something they were correct about but that you criticized the f*** out of them about. Your personality is a vicious circle. Anyway, back to baseball sin the angry dude. So Ross could have said a number of things today in his interview. 1. We like our pitching depth but are always looking for ways to improve the depth/team etc. 2. We have a lot of high expectations for the arms we have in camp and I think you will see some arms emerge from the spring etc, etc. What Ross said: One of the things he is most excited about is our pitching depth... When you are not even sure who can be your 5th SP, that is not exciting depth IMO. I just think Ross is using some hyperbole in an area that he should be much more reserved. Use the Hyperbole for run prevention, base running, balanced attack etc,etc.. All for it and agree...
  15. Ross was on today talking about how much he likes our pitching depth... I just dont see the depth Ross, at least until mid season....
  16. I remember not too long ago (yr or two) Richards was an extreme fly ball pitcher and had a high propensity for HR. That scared the s*** out of me when he came in late innings (I want to say his first full year with the team).
  17. More like Ben Cherington I would think. Click would go to Nashville with Mattingly.
  18. I hope in a real game those three can at least advance the lead off runner from 2nd.
