Danger Co just arrived in Boston. Going to watch tonights game via TV, but plan to be at Fenway Tuesday and Wednesday. The driver said it rained cats and dogs yesterday and rain forecast for tomorrow and later in the week. Sunny now but A) The Jays better win when Danger is present and no rain!!

Varsho got off to a slow start when he was called up. Then he picked it up… He then got hurt or was sent down again or ICR, when he came back he started off slow then picked it up. I have Varsho on most of my fantasy teams. Apart from a few where I traded for him when he was in AA, the reason I was able to acquire him is because he was in a slump/cold and the other team was willing to part with him. I guarantee you, a month or two later the other managers were kicking themselves for selling low. Varsho will be fine. Not even May yet. I recall we wanted to DFA EE a bunch of times and did, because of his hitting in April. The team is winning despite Varsho and they have certainly not lost a game due to Varsho. When he gets on base he is almost always getting an extra base in some form or another and scoring runs. The run prevention he provides is worth the spot in the line-up. Taking good routes, no extra bobbles in the corners, hitting the cut off man, throwing guys out etc, all solid contributions that make the team much better than last year. I am not concerned yet, and we are a better team with him in the line up then not.

I just don’t understand WTF MLB is doing with scheduled off days on Fridays… Didn’t they do a Sunday last season also..? They are really the worst league of them all between TV accessibility and growing the fanbase…

I could be motivated to move Suarez 3b. Not motivated just for shits and giggles, but right deal could be.

I just read that Marly Rivera was fired for calling another female reporter a C#%t. Shame, one little thing can ruin a 13 yr career with the same employer. Marly was good and I always like hearing her scoop on the Yankees etc. I hope someone else picks her up.

The blown saves is a misleading stat. There were games and will be games where we were only down 1 or 2 or tied and the pen turned it into a blow out. Successful teams have pens that keep it close and give the offense a chance to win. None of those poor performances show up as BS/S/H stats etc...

We really need to beat the Yankees today because we are playing on all cylinders. The Yankees are hanging with us and they have half their rotation out as well as position and pen starters. When the Yankees get back to full health, they will be better and tougher. We need to take games while we can. Yesterday was vs Cole, so tough to win that.. Though we had a chance and our fully intact pen blew it…
