  1. Thats the definition of an ACE. Are you my ACE Gausman.. Oh, and can you pitch 9 innings please.
  2. Wow… He was a really hot commodity a few years ago….Quite the fall…
  3. Break the streak Laika!!! This might be the most getto GDT I have seen, but if it works, than IDGAD!
  4. Fnnn Bigio in instead of Merrifield and the Predator leading off for the Red Sox….
  5. Who’s doing the GDT and breaking this damn losing streak!???
  6. For Bass or someone in the pen, probably is…
  7. It’s a light rain that will pass. The wind is showing at 9mph which is not significant. The Red Sox pitchers seem to be able to get outs. They play in much worse conditions then this. Plus we are trailing. We only want to call the game if we are winning…
  8. Putting Bass and Richards in close games is waving the white flag. We had 3 innings to get a run or a few runs to tie it. Def doable in Fenway. However, the pen consistently letting the game get away is a recipe for a barely making a WC spot, if that…
  9. Great job giving me a heart attack Slim Shady..
  10. Going into Phillie next week. We better get our s*** together…
  11. That was going to be a strong single up the middle if it didn’t hit ASS..
  12. The one last night was hit hard as f*** also.. At least it appeared so live when comparing to the other HRs and hits that game.
  13. Good D, saves our pitcher's pitch count and workload!
  14. Pretty funny story from last night. There was a Red Sox family all with Red Sox jerseys. that had a son probably in late 20's sitting a few rows in front of me. They were on Springer all night, especially the son. Springer you SUCK!!! 0-4 Springer, 0-4 Springer!! Etc, etc.. A Red Sox plain clothes security guy walks up the aisle and motions with his head for the son to follow him up the stairs. The son and the security guys were at the top of the stairs out of ear shot for about 15 mins. The son returns to the seat and is telling his family what happened, the whole section is trying to eavesdrop..LOL.. No one can hear what he told the family the security guy said. However, next time Springer was up at bat, I hear from the family, "Good luck George!", "Have a nice at bat George". "I hope you do well George!" LMFAO.. The whole section was laughing their ass off.. The Security guy must have said you are getting kicked out if he hears anything else negative towards Springer.. I thought I was in some American Pie Movie and Stifler was trying to be on his best behaviour (all an act) to get the girl... The whole scenario was friggin hilarious...
  15. Next step for Bean is to trade Kirk or Vladito so Schneider has to play Belt.
  16. So, I had been to Fenway before but I had never known about, nor noted the Buckminster. After your post, I kept my eye out. I walked right by it last night. However, it took me a bit to confirm it was actually the Buckminster. It appears they have let the hotel, at least the signage, fall into disrepair. There were many letters missing from the marquee and it was like I was solving a Wheel of Fortune question. The sign currently looks something like this- U K INSTER. Definitely is a great atmosphere and history around and inside Fenway. Even though we lost, I had a great time last night. I think I will go to Thursday nights game also.
  17. Ok, but in the context of bullpen construction and depth it is important. We do not have a clear closer option if Romano is not available for whatever reason or is showing signs he just doesn’t have it in an outing. Like look at Houston. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Presely, Montero, or Abrue in a save situation.
  18. One if the issue with our pen is that it is very one dimensional. We have one true closer which is a single point of failure IMO. Our save percentage by Team leader was almost 79% which is near the top of the league. RPs with more than 5 saves on the Jays in 2022, one. The Astros, Braves, Yankees, Dodgers, of course the Rays, all had at least two RPs with 5 saves or more. Multiple teams such as Phillies, the Braves, Dodgers, Orioles, even the Red Sox had multiple RPs with saves, some of those teams mentioned having 4 RPS to 5 RPs with saves. Most of them at least 3 RPs with saves. Swanson should help with this. But still only a plus 1. Swanson is no sure thing to fill in at closer either. He lost high leverage roles with the Mariners down the stretch last season and didn’t even appear in the two play off games vs the Jays. To translate, we have all our eggs in one basket hoping that basket does not get hurt, tired, or has a bad day/stretch.
  19. Past 7 days - .533 OBP, .549 WOBA, 769 SLG% Productive fantasy numbers while he is hot.
  20. Yes, but the baseline for the pitchers was still the same. If your offense scores at least 5 runs per game, you should have a good chance to win all those games with adequate pitching.
