    I kept telling everyone Bassitt is sneaky good and don’t sweat a few starts. I believe after this game Bassitt is second to Gausman in SP IPs at 40 vs 42. Bassitt is also tied with Gausman at 5 QS… That’s what you need from SPs especially with our pen.

    What L54 said is right about Tampa pitchers and SP inning limits. However, there is also McC who is an exception and will be left in 7 innings. I also agree normally hitter over pitcher, BUT, I think TB is the more valuable asset to have right now. I would scoop him while I could… Mis .02 cents

    I’m not sure what is up with Springer… I was watching him at the games this week and his body language just looks very low energy. He is also always doing like a full body bend or stretch prior to ABs and even when he reached base. Not sure if hurt, beat down mentally, but something seems off….

    Both subs have made fielding errors the past two nights that have extended innings and come back to hurt us. Play Merrifield as a regular and use Santiago and Biggio only off the bench when needed..
