Was just listening to the Rangers post game show. They were eviscerating the decision to send Vlad home on Adolis Garcia. The dude has 10 assists, second closest in MLB is 6. Basically, they were like WTF!???

Two months after Bo Bichette was drafted, scouting director Brian Parker, who fought for the selection, was fired. AA regime. Atkins had never seen Bo play when he was drafted. Andrew Tinish who oversaw the Kirk signing left for the Braves in 2017. AA regime. Cherington and Sanders oversaw Manoah. Both left to the Pirates. Atkins can get credit since he ultimatley gives the green light. However, those are probably the three best players we have drafted since Atkins and all responsible are gone. I like Atkins MLB club moves, for the most part... However, I have consistently criticised his lack of viable depth, especially on the pitching side. The bottom line is, his objective is to win us a WS. Since the 2016 team, we have had zero playoffs wins under this regime. I think he made the right moves for the most part this last year at the deadline and in offseason to get us over the hump. Merrifield is a playoff guy to me.. We just need to get there.. Swanson, Varsho KK and Belt were the right idea. I loved the Bassitt signing. They will need to get more depth at the deadline or sooner and I don't know if we have the ammo to do much.. And to Todd' Bloody Vagina... Way too early to assess the Varsho trade..

This is why Laika is not running a pro baseball team. That attidude which was prevelant for a time, went the way of the dinosours for the really good FOs in baseball. With the average SP only going 5 IP these days, on a good day, BPs are HUGE. This is why the Detroit Tigers teams never won it all.. Team's that parallel the Jays in a lot of ways.. They had Miggy, a generational 3b go to 1B, they had an awsesome starting staff and very solid positional players to support Miggy.. But the Pen sucked, and the pen cost them year after year..

That would be the sign for the 21 game winning streak. Also, pay for our soda.. for, like, ever.....

To make it an elite pen, you would need more than one elite guy/s.. Who is that? Plural...

To Atkins credit- is offseason run prevention and better base running was on display tonight. Varsho scores the winning run from 2nd on a looper single, KK saves the run/s in the 9th. Bassit keeps them at bay through 8.
