    Why would we acquire a veteran OF.. I disagree with this philosophy with regards to position players.. We know next year we will not be a playoff team- unless we pull an Atlanta Braves.. We need to give our young guys playing time and let them progress or cut bait. All we do with a veteran is create a log jam.. I for one am not going to go pay to see some Curtis Granderson type in the OF. I would be interested in seeing Alford, Davis, Grichuk etc.. We also have "Veterans" on the position player side we wont be able to get rid off. Morales, Martin, Tulo etc can mentor the young bucks. We also still have Pillar, he is now a veteran OF...

    Where are we on that chart for total hits compared to the other teams? i.e We hit the most % of hard hits out of all out of our hits (100). Boston is second at 38% but they have 150 hits? Or is it all pretty much even?

    NICE! The A's OWE us, they are losing badly again... If this series showed us anything it is they should play the line ups that will be in there next year and the future and stop wasting time with the Solarte's, Clippards, Barnes of the world.. I really hope Travis is not in the mix next year either.. Our catching future also looks very bright! Good job guys!! (Some of you anyway)

    Awesome!!! Great job! I am only crediting 1 run to Pannone. Any other 2b other than Travis (or Solarte) probably gets that base hit in the 1st and a s*** throw from Grichuk on the SAC fly didn't help. With some better D could have been 1 earned run.. Way to go kid, happy for you and your family. Saw Dad shedding some tears of pride

    Grichuk has played some s*** D today. Horrible throw on a ball not hit deep in the 1st allowing a run to score now this... Plus he has done s*** at the plate. Great day yesterday, but we need some more consistency and we need to tighten up our D. These little things are killing us..

    Giles had not had a 2 inning save situation with us ever, I dont believe and had not pitched two innings in a while if I am correct. Some guys can do it, other guys s*** the bed. I didnt know and I doubt the majority of guys here knew how Giles is in that sitution. After I made the post, Schulman said he has done it 6 times in his career. I prefaced unchartered territory with lets see if he can do that for another inning. I didnt recall him pitching more than one inning for us. It would also appear the guy has a mental barrier or something when it is not a straight up save situation, so I for one didnt know how he was going to handle a two inning save.
