    Lots of blanket statements in this thread for a team where the average age position player age is 26.6. The vast majority of players don't even really figure it out until ages 26-28. Smoak himself didn't really figure it out till 30. It's unfair to label guys like Teoscar as what they are just yet imo. Teoscar may never have a .350 OBP, but if his ceiling is a .320 OBP with a .500 SLG, that's still really good. Again, he's still only 26. Not entirely uncommon for players to keep improving.

    That's what made the deal a little more palatable for me. We're paying him more this season and the next, but we're essentially getting 3 of his free agent seasons for $28M. We just took Pillar's salary and what we saved on Morales and are paying Grichuk some of that for this season and the next.

    Interesting that Atkins referred to Alford as an "organizational player" today on the radio.

    8.7 fWAR the last 4 seasons. At $10M/WAR, it’s a bargain even if he stays the way he is. Obviously hoping he’s better than he is.

    Alford is already up. He's been recalled. They're probably going to option Urena and Reid-Foley to make room for Brito and Hansen.

    So it looks like Brito and Hansen will report to the Jays, per Atkins. Alford already called up to replace Pillar. Urena and Sean-Reid Foley optioned to make room for Brito and Hansen?

    Who knows, maybe he can be Max Muncy or Chris Taylor. He is coming off his best minor league season. On a side note, it's infuriating how the Dodgers can pluck these cast off guys off rosters and they somehow become 4 WAR contributors seemingly overnight.

    Has options, so AAA OF when Alford comes up. The Dwight Smith Jr. trade seems a little odd in hindsight. I'd rather have him than some of these other guys like Brito and Hanson for AAA fodder.
