  1. If this is the case, Trout should be left off your ballot completely.
  2. I'd go with Liriano to start. You will be able to tell really early if you're going to get good Liriano or bad Liriano. If he has control of his pitches, he will keep the Jays in the game as his stuff is really good. If he's walking guys early, you go with a quick hook and bring in Stro.
  3. Jays are undefeated in Wildcard games.
  4. Betts is going to win, even though if Trout and Betts switched teams before the year, BOS would still be a division winner and the Angels would still stink. This award should be renamed the "best player on the one of the best teams" award.
  5. With the playoff format as is, even if the Yanks and Sox are the greatest teams ever over the next few years, the Jays can still make the playoffs.
  6. The Baseball Hall of Fame takes itself way to seriously to ever make an exception for Fernandez.
  7. Similar per year money, EE gets longer deal.
  8. Playoff Odds: Tor: 80.0% Det: 63.7% Bal: 36.1% Sea: 14.1% Hou: 5.8% Nyy: 0.4%
  9. Still hoping for BOS to lose. Although I'd prefer a WC game at home, in a one game playoff, I don't think home field advantage plays a huge role. So far, the road team is 6-2 in the wildcard game.
  10. Sox magic number to clinch is 8. If the Jays win today and win every other series left (3/4 vs Yanks, 2/3 vs Os, 2/3 vs Sox) that would give the Jays 91 wins. The Sox would need to go 5-6 to stay ahead. If the Jays close the season 11-0, Sox would need to go 8-3 to stay ahead of the Jays. If the Jays go 6-5 the rest of the season, Sox would need to go 3-8 to stay ahead of the Jays.
  11. He's dirty.
  12. So, through Aug/Sept in 13.2 innings, Cecil has only allowed 3 ERs with 19 SOs.
  13. Implosion 2016 Red Sox addition starts tonight. AL EAST here we come!
  14. The Jays 3 runs scored yesterday is tied for their 7th highest scoring game of the month. #progress #explotion
  15. It smells like teen spirit in the Jays locker room.
  16. http://replygif.net/i/189.gif
  17. Since Rogers spent billions on it's hockey deal, that's all they really care about at this point. It's been a disaster for them so far as ratings were way down for the NHL this past season with all the Canadian teams sucking.
  18. I guess the rationale for keeping Osuna in was he already warmed up and pitched in the game so you might as well use him for more than 1 batter. Plus, the heart of the order was up for the Angels. I don't think it was the worst decision ever made, although the chances of a team putting up a 5 spot on you in an inning is very low.
  19. Cool thanks, I will try that.
  20. A lot voters still put too much importance on WINS/ERA.
  21. All things considered, as good as he's been, you can make the argument that he's not even the Cy Young of his own pitching staff.
  22. He's got a shot. But Porcello is probably the favourite, especially if Boston wins division.
  23. Didn't watch this game and they won. Maybe I shouldn't watch.
  24. I guess their system is set up to fill up a section before moving to the next one, so I keep getting rows way in the back. I'm not interested in sitting in row 131967 even though it might be closer to homeplate. I think I will just wait until single game tickets go on sale and I will just pick and choose what I want.
