I agree. If he stays healthy I think we get fair value from him.
No way you try and unload him, eat some money and have Navarro as an everyday catcher. Navarro isnt much better than Thole. Martin is a much better catcher in every metric, not to mention little things that are hard to quantify, such as his game calling, baseball IQ and ability to maximize a pitchers potential ie Liriano.
In 2016 he was a League average bat and put up 1.9 WAR despite being injured or banged up for the majority of the season. Hopefully he will stay healthy. Either way if Navarro is our everyday catcher, forget about making the playoffs. His poor framing is worth something like minus 1.5-2 wins per season
