  1. All of them? He's an extreme fly ball pitcher who subsequently gives up too many home runs and this will continue whether he's tipping his pitches or not.
  2. Santander also had several near misses on barely foul balls he hit very hard as well. I think he's having fantastic AB's in the post season but the timing just hasn't quite come around yet.
  3. I'm in the same boat regarding enthusiasm for retaining Bieber. The stuff looks decent but he has a pretty small margin of error when his command is faltering. Perhaps with a healthy offseason the command will return to prior levels though. If offseason funds allow both of Bieber and a top of the rotation arm to be acquired then go for it, but I think there are higher upside arms available for the rotation that should be primary targets ahead of Bieber.
  4. I don't think so, I believe a higher AAV show me deal with a player option tacked on is far more likely.
  5. The beauty of the Blue Jays offense is that they are able to string together plenty of hits to score without hitting home runs. When the home run bats come out they are capable of completely steamrolling their opponents.
  6. They easily could have changed their game plan after game 3 if they wanted. They weren't forced to start with Varland and Fluharty.
  7. Schneider takes a ton of flak for his bullpen management but he's been excellent this season. People seem to forget that the team has only reliable rotation members for a good chunk of the season and the team has been fantastic at navigating bullpen games.
  8. I assume there will be a 4 man rotation, but the bullpen was nails tonight to close the series down.
  9. Yeah I think they need to have Yesavage warming in case he's needed. They can't afford to let Hoffman let this series clinching win slip away.
  10. That's good to not let Barger catch the pop ups when possible.
  11. Super close and just missed the strike zone according to Gameday.
  12. Probably won't have any choice if it gets to that point.
  13. Jays gotta get back to aiming their batted balls better.
  14. Decent outing by Varland. Hopefully Fluharty brings his A game.
  15. Yankees are flashing the leather so far, the Jays are going to need to do the same.
  16. I always get a chuckle out of Buck calling him Shitler.
