    The club's overall pitching numbers are insane the last two times through the rotation. The team as a whole has put up a 1.91 ERA/2.53 FIP with 10.52 K/9 vs 1.92 BB/9.

    I was perfectly fine with the construction of the Jays pen and I'm on record stating I thought it could become a strength if Pearson and Green were able to pitch up to their capabilities. I'm perfectly fine with the team signing Kiermaier as he fit in the team's budget better, however I didn't feel the need to constantly run down the other choice due to an obvious deeply rooted set of insecurities such as you display. I like both Jansen and Kirk as the two of them formed MLB's most productive catching duo last season. Early on Jansen's framing numbers look to be greatly improved so he very well may have shored up his only major weakness. If you think it's cool or somehow gives you credibility to talk s*** about a legitimately good player who plays in the team I assume you are cheering for, then you are even dumber than you appear based on the constant stream of nonsense that you post. The incessant back patting and low quality troll baiting are simply exposing you as the loud mouth low knowledge fraud that you are.

    Jansen is arguably the team's hottest hitter right now, but I wouldn't expect the likes of you to actually recognize that. Over his last 8 games Jansen has produced a 225 WRC+ with very solid underlying numbers to back it up.

    Just like you told us that Bellinger was completely washed up. Oh wait, he's already produced 1.1 WAR in only 22 games. Or how about when you told us that Nick Frasso was a total nothing prospect. At a quick glance he's currently tearing up AA with a 1.86 FIP and 13 K/9. It seems that more often than not you are shown to be completely full of s*** with your bold proclamations.

    The White Sox batters couldn't have had much fun in this game, they struck out a combined 17 times against Jays pitching.

    I think the home runs are going to work their way down as the season progresses. The relievers aren't being overused so badly with the rotation rolling the way it is.

    That was a really cool moment. I've become a huge Kiermaier fan now that he's no longer playing for the Rays. It's so nice to see him doing stuff like turning softly hit singles into doubles, stealing home runs, making low probability running catches look easy etc.

    Based on how Tiedemann's numbers looked it might have been better to be drunk for this one.

    This is about as good as I think Berrios has looked as a Blue Jay. The changeup is such a difference maker pitch for him so it's nice to see him using it more often.

    DRS likes Vlad's defence more than OAA where he's credited with 2 DRS up to this point. Even Bo is credited with 2 DRS so far which is a nice development.

    I thought I heard something mentioned on one of the recent broadcasts, but I could certainly be mistaken.

    I recall it was mentioned that Cimber made some tweaks to his mound positioning in the offseason in hopes of improving his fortunes. This seems like fixing something that wasn't broken though as he was a pretty decent reliever who could occasionally pick up leverage innings if required. His fastball and slider velocity are both down several ticks and his command has been pretty poor as well leading to a lot of very hittable pitches.

    If I'm not mistaken that means a third of his flyballs are infield pop ups.

    Lukes hasn't really even had a chance to hit in the majors yet so it's a little up in the air what he will able to do. He produced a 151 WRC+ in AAA so far and had a nice spring as well so he might be able to surprise a little bit.

    Not giving up a 7 spot in the first inning would be a good start.

    It's good you've come to your senses but that doesn't change the fact your earlier opinion of Pop was completely undeserved. At worst he's a power sinker version of David Phelps as a guy who keeps you close in games in low leverage spots. Since he was acquired he has shown glimpses of the raw tools that could allow a much higher ceiling if he comes up with a more effective slider.
