No, not yet. He made some solid progress last year comparing him at the beginning of the D league season to the end. He's only 20 or something, give him a couple more years and maybe he can stick as a role player, 3+D.
I mean he still has a FIP and xFIP under 4 and the projections expect it to be even lower and he's pitched a ton of innings too. No reason to send him down at all
Lol NESN announcers saying that Bradley is the best center fielder they've ever seen. And they mention Adam Jones and his gold gloves as another great defensive CF.
It is better to put on a runner when first base is "open" in that it doesn't advance the lead runner, but in this case it also creates a situation where a walk to the following batter would advance the lead runner (and bring in a run). Considering the matchups its probably pretty close either way.
He still has the occasional baffling 4-0 walk where he's not even close, but the reduction in walk rate is real. The curve was looking nasty tonight, but I don't remember too many swinging strikes. Still a great start!
The Red Sox have a league leading team BABIP of .346 compared to the Jays' .275
Bogaerts, Bradley, Shaw...ect. have BABIPs north of .380. Hopefully the regression starts this weekend.
Aaron Sanchez is currently 21st in WAR for pitchers this year (interestingly tied with Estrada and Stroman).
That puts him ahead of pitchers like Tanaka, Smyly, Matz, Gio...ect.
3.20 ERA
3.33 FIP
1.2 WAR
