  1. Might have been posted already but Socrates Brito signed with Pittsburgh, minor league deal + invite to ST.
  2. I'd agree it's no surplus, but I'd still be into exploring the possibility of "selling high" on McGuire as an asset while bringing in a veteran back up catcher. Not that I'm advocating going down this road, but it seems as though the receiver of choice for Ryu with the Dodgers was none other than Russell Martin. https://dodgers.mlblogs.com/notebook-the-ryu-martin-connection-continues-turner-update-6d1d1673d4c8
  3. Might even be able to get Betances for a bit less after a lost year. Definitely a worthy gamble in that range and one of the better upside buys remaining.
  4. The Jays should swing a depth deal for this guy to man 1B in Buffalo, he's obviously road blocked in STL but the profile is very rare and potentially interesting if he continues to add power - https://www.fangraphs.com/players/john-nogowski/sa829744/stats?position=1B
  5. Selling high on McGuire would definitely seem like the most favorable route.
  6. The Pirates are an obvious fit for a catcher and Davidi reported that we checked in on Musgrove, maybe there is something there.
  7. There were a handful of bats available in the rule V who would have been more interesting than Urena, so he better not end up on the 26 man.
  8. Lol it takes a microsecond to scan through the first few thread titles.
  9. We've also apparently sent Wells to the Angels, lots of news this morning.
  10. Happy for Trout to have some almost peer talent around
  11. Looks like his time in CF has really dragged down his defensive numbers.
  12. Would someone like Nimmo make for a good target with his on base ability?
  13. Some folks are pointing to the fact that Mazara is only 24 and may still have upside but he's also in his second last year of team control. Another mediocre season and they'd be struggling to get anything of value in return.
  14. Anyone know the best place to buy a gas mask?

I'd have to imagine it was something pretty bad, it seemed like he was doing a great job in terms of the on ice product. Apparently it's not abuse related, I'm sure we'll hear more.
  16. He's our 2020 Opening Day starter.
  17. Had a feeling we would see some Jays news today but perhaps that will consist of missing out on Wheeler.
  18. Seems like the Braves could have pooled some of this second tier money into buying another marquee talent or two, and filled the remaining openings later by bargain shopping or from within. Always easier said than done of course.
  19. Hamels to Atlanta, reported to be one year at $18M.
  20. Looking at the numbers Gausman put up as a reliever last year (albeit SSS), I can't help but wonder if he's someone you could try and reinvent as either a late innings guy or opener.
  21. The Giants non tendered an MVP candidate?
