  2. What the f*** did you just f***ing say about me, you little s***? Ill have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and Ive been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and Im the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the f*** out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my f***ing words. You think you can get away with saying that s*** to me over the Internet? Think again, f***er. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. Youre f***ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and thats just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little s***. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little clever comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your f***ing tongue. But you couldnt, you didnt, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will s*** fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're f***ing dead, kiddo.
  3. In this case it was a prize from one of our playoff pools this past year
  4. I don't recall if any duration was specified. The start of intra squad games is in 9 days, maybe by then he'll be able to focus more on baseball and less on being an *******.
  5. I would like to use the ban I was awarded on L54 please. That last comment was some of the most disrespectful garbage I've ever seen here, and he deserves at least a time out. Sorry to hear what Deadpool has gone through, and all the best to him.

I really don't think people realize how good he is. At one point (before the team in front of him completely unraveled), Gibson had the best career save percentage of any goalie who had played 100+ games, ever.... Easily one of the very best in the world and of this generation. If he didn't play in one of the smallest hockey markets, Gibson would be as highly regarded as Price etc. Perhaps the only other goalie who can be considered his team's franchise player

Yeah they might only need to get about halfway back to being a good team and he can take care of the rest.

Ducks locked down Vegas and handed them their first regulation loss. Anaheim actually steps into a playoff spot with the win, some good signs of progress with a few of their young players. Probably still a couple years away from being back to contention but it's always a positive to see a young team be competitive most nights.
  11. He was the second best option left after Bauer in my opinion, so this kind of sucks. Fair to say he's leaving money on the table here without a doubt, but that's obviously not his main consideration at this point.
  12. Who wouldn't love smashing dingers into McCovey Cove?
  13. I can understand it from Simmons perspective, wanting to continue showcasing his main selling point, especially if he's forced to take a shorter term deal this off season. Definitely agree that Semien makes more sense for this team.
  14. In the best tools section they had Smith listed for Best Hitter for Average and Best Strike Zone Discipline
  15. There's a plausible chance Yajure produces more value than an injured Taillon from the get go, and then the deal is a real coup for Pittsburgh It's weird to see the Yankees take this route and not just pay the money for Tanaka, just seems a bit against their nature.
  16. Yeah I think it's a pretty solid haul for the Bucs, wouldn't all four slide into their top 20?
  17. Canaan Smith is pretty interesting, seems like a pure hitter and built like a tank. Yajure can probably be auditioned for a role in their rotation right away, though probably isn't more than a backend or mid rotation guy at best.
  18. A few on twitter saying it's a four prospect package heading to Pittsburgh
  19. No I completely understand your point and I'm not saying it isn't a valid one. It's a bit encouraging to see he's touching 94 in the off season, but until a team actually gets to see him back to pre injury form, there's still reason to be concerned whether he has lingering issues. If it was a regular off season for him there would be little doubt the velocity returns over the spring. If he has been ramping himself up to showcase for a contract and still only sitting in the low 90s, maybe there's still something there. Like MikeM alluded to, the concern about the velocity returning isn't so much about performance as durability.
  20. It's too vague to read too much into in my opinion. If he touched 94 but was still only sitting low 90s, that would mean his velocity is still down from pre 2020 level. Then you're left hoping he completely rebounds throughout the spring, rather than actually getting to see him there before taking the chance on signing him.
  21. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/12/latest-on-james-paxton.html The report of him hitting 94 this off season starts to sound a bit encouraging, but being able to touch 94 in an off season workout is obviously not the same being able to maintain it throughout starts for a season and beyond with that injury record. Paxton and Tanaka are the same age and their projections are similar enough to assume that interest should come down to which guy you think stays healthy enough to perform to expectations.
  22. In the interest of fairness, we could include McGuire in the deal, as the evidence suggests he's also seen heavy strain on his elbow as well.
  23. They can't be happy with their depth behind the plate, might be something there

Saw a funny tweet to that effect prior to the trade "Dubois for Laine will be the funniest outcome for two guys who wanted the hell out of Ohio and Manitoba and end up getting traded to Canadian Ohio and American Manitoba"
  25. Well then participate in the thread properly and fire the guy
