  1. Plus raw power already at 17 years old and 170 lbs...not too difficult to see the intrigue in that. The panel certainly loves the kid
  2. I'm 6-1 on the season, will get us back on a high note before the all star break tomorrow
  3. For the third straight year, the Draft will be part of All-Star Week. Sunday's action begins at 6 p.m. ET with a one-hour pregame show on MLB Network, followed by Round 1 (including one prospect promotion compensation pick), Competitive Balance Round A (10 picks), Round 2 and Competitive Balance Round B (six picks) and three second-round compensation picks. All 70 picks can be seen on MLB Network, MLB.com, ESPN and, for the first time, ESPN+. Days 2 and 3 can be seen on MLB.com. Day 2 gets underway at 2 p.m. on Monday, with Rounds 3-10 on the slate. The final day, featuring Rounds 11-20, begins at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-draft-overview-and-schedule-2023
  4. I remember you saying last year that you had started tapping into your considerable raw power.
  5. Yay draft weekend
  6. Never mind Spanky, he's just on edge because he knows what's coming in LoD this week.
  7. Can't forget Rojas as well, if he keeps this up the rest of the season, he's a pre season top 100 guy next year.
  8. Exactly this, there are some really interesting prospects popping up at just about every level. The wrong couple of top guys had slow starts and/or injuries and it's creating an over abundance of Debbie Downerism. It's easy to forget that for a lot of prospects getting to Vancouver, NH or Buffalo, when the season kicks off in April, it could be their very first time ever playing cold weather ball at all. Some slow starts should be expected, most of the key guys have come around.
  9. The prevailing opinion seemed to be that he's the best shooter in this draft class. That in itself probably warrants a late lottery pick, but sounds like he has a lot more than just that single dimension going for him. I won't pretend to be overly informed, but sure seems like an ideal pick. Most three balls ever made in a season by a Kansas Jayhawk, and 4th most points - quite a storied program, kid can ball.
