It will be interesting to see if this turns out to be a breakout season or an outlier for Brenton Doyle. Elite CF defender but he has a shot at a 30/30 season (currently 18/21) and is slashing .272/.334/.479. His K rate (25.5%) is below 30% for the first time since his partial season of rookie ball after signing in 2019

Jay Harry - 2023 6th rounder out of Penn State, strong pro debut with the bat after signing last year, not so much this year at HiA. Has played SS/2B/3B and all three OF spots as a pro.

Just turned 23 and only has 48 innings of AA/AAA experience, definitely would rather give him more time and roll out some gas can if needed for now

I have been the high guy on Jack Flaherty around here throughout his career but I'd be very ok with him as a (cheaper) alternative to Burnes if we miss on him. Bring back Kikuchi to complete the coup over Houston and you have a solid veteran four with competition for a 5th spot. Flaherty, Gausman, Berrios, Kikuchi, Bloss/Francis (sell Bassitt while the market is hot) -

Loperfido seems like a fun player, hopefully he can hit consistently enough to be regular, even if in a utility role

Bloss has so little experience above A ball, 44 innings at AA and just four innings in AAA. We'll see what the plan is but doesn't seem like the worst idea to give him a bit more seasoning in Buffalo
