  1. Might be a fluid situation right up until the trade deadline and/or beyond..

Really wasn't any rumor of him moving at the deadline, that's an off season move if anything. Verbeek was pretty candid on the topic. He said look around the league at all these good teams who can never figure out their goaltending. When you have someone who has proven to be a workhorse, should be in no hurry to give them up. Plus the Ducks used up their retention slots in the Lyubushkin and Edmonton (Henrique/Carrick) deals, just likely weren't any teams able to take on Gibson's full 6.4M right now. Could see it finally going down by the draft though, if Dostal finishes strong. Give him more of the reigns and pair him with a cheaper 1B guy.

They've sold too much to now say they want to contend, makes no sense.

I like the Avs side, just not sure about Buffalo targeting Byram. Concussion issues are scary, and they are now so deep in LHD (Dahlin, Power, Byram, Samuelsson all lefties)
  6. Escobar is 0/15 with 8 K's, would hopefully assume they put an end to that experiment soon

Good move by the Oil, they don't draft particularly well anyway. Henrique is the type of versatile support player they need, and Carrick is a gritty, playoff style depth add.
  8. I was thinking Lorenzen might be the guy they target. As far as cheaper stop gap options go, there might be a bit of upside there.
  9. My projection for the Blue Jays season is, can't we all just have a good time?
  10. Home state, but he's from SoCal (Anaheim area) so quite a few hours south of San Fran
  11. We already have Turner to be a DH and part time corner INF. I don't know what to make of Davis as a 3B defender. Always graded poorly with 2023 being the exception. Soon turning 31, I would air on the side of caution and assume 2023 to be an outlier.
  12. And I for one, welcome our new AI overlords

Not really. He's a depth guy at best, don't want him playing more than third pairing minutes due to being limited in his puck skills. But he's a right shot and a "playoff style" add in that he's a bigger guy who consistently plays a fairly heavy/physical style. The double max retention brings his cap hit down below the league minimum, so all together it's fine.
  14. What a snag by Schneider
  15. Tough sailing
  16. Just so much risk involved.
  17. Seems like Allard is getting squeezed a bit haha. Some patience being shown by the Jays early on here though And then Varsho jumps on a first pitch
  18. Cheese has legit breaking stuff for sure
  19. The man they call Cheese (Chad Dallas) takes the bump for the Jays spring training Opener. Baseball is back!!
