  1. Gotta show some love to Pete Walker as well!
  2. 41 days until Spring Training! Only five players have worn #41 for the Jays, but there are some very notable names among them. I'm going with a WS champion and Cy Young winner, none other than Pat Hentgen!
  3. 42 days until Spring Training! #42 has been worn by just two Blue Jays in franchise history, but does get honored by every team each year. The number clearly belongs to one man in baseball history, #42 is Jackie Robinson
  4. 43 days until Spring Training! Lots of players have worn #43 in Toronto, I'm choosing to continue this run of hitters, today's pick is slugger Raul Mondesi!
  5. Another of the teams that was rumored to be on Flaherty (Orioles being the other) seemingly pivoting to a cheaper aging vet (assuming any truth to those rumors of course).
  6. It's not even contract length or dollars that they remain apart on. Santander wants a clause ensuring he won't ever receive another call from "that robot"
  7. Legit happy for Rooker to get a bag, seems like a genuine dude. He made a huge adjustment to shorten his path to the ball. Whoever figured that out (coach/himself etc) made his career.
  8. First half FIP of 5.01 before improving to 3.89 in the second half of 2024. I'm not sure if washed up is the right term, when he was sort of his usual old self in the most recent half season of play. It's definitely not a high upside move, no argument to be made there. No luck involved in the second half either.... Babip almost stayed exactly the same but simply generated significantly less hard contact and a fair bit more soft contact in the second half. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/jose-quintana/11423/splits?position=P&season=2024&split=
  9. 44 days until Spring Training! #44 has been worn by twenty Blue Jays in team history, including a few notable names. I have chosen one of the biggest name players to ever suit up for Toronto, albeit just one season - Jose Canseco!
  10. I believe I recently read a rumor of Steer being shopped or potentially available.
  11. Khal Stephen Fernando Perez Johnny King Lots of interesting arms
  12. 45 days until Spring Training! #45 is another popular number in Blue Jays history, and there are lots of good players among those who have worn it. I'm going with a hitter who is one of the most hyped prospects in team history - Travis Snider!
  13. 46 days until Spring Training! As of now, #46 is the most commonly used number in Blue Jays franchise history! 28 different players have worn the number and there were seven different seasons where #46 was worn by two different players. Lots of options here, none with much tenure. I'm going with the one who had a very interesting career post Blue Jays, slugger Eric Thames
  14. 47 days until Spring Training! #47 is another popular number, having been worn by nineteen different Blue Jays, none for any great length of time. Lots of decent options here, but I'm going with veteran righty Jack Morris!
  15. Hopefully this is their cheaper alternative to Flaherty
  16. 48 days until Spring Training! #48 has been a very popular number, worn by 25 Blue Jays over the years. I'm going with the most tenured who happens to also be Canadian - it's Paul Quantrill!
  17. 49 days until Spring Training! #49 is another popular number, worn by nineteen Blue Jays over the years, the most tenured being righty Jeremy Accardo.
  18. Did you guys all partake heavily last night? It's quiet around here this morning...
  19. 50 days until Spring Training! #50 has been a popular number in Toronto, worn by 21 players. However, one player's impact and longevity easily stand out among the bunch. #50 belongs to Tom Henke!
  20. Still one more Sox mention here when I click on the forum tab from the main page @Brock Beauchamp
  21. Grandma always said that a forgotten pot is never stirred. Or something like that, really heavy accent
