    Their hands really were tied on this one. With everything going on, Hoffman had to be dealt ASAP and other teams were inevitably going to take advantage of that

    Low K numbers and has hit at every level because he has a good bat, even without sexy power. Might have been more interesting when it looked like he'd stay in CF but he has a big arm for RF.

    Weren't the Yankees unwilling to move their top position prospects to land multiple years of Cole? If I'm remembering that correctly, it would be tough to picture them turning around and moving one for Happ. They do have some very nice pitching in the upper minors though. Abreu + Adams + lottery ticket would be a solid offer.

    Back to back errors by the Mariners allow a pair of runs to score for Boston and tie the game - and both the type that will make a pitcher pull his hair out.... Followed by a wild pitch and then a Bogaerts 3 run shot. Man he is looking good right now, two recent deep home runs to CF.

    They have so many solid or better SP prospects in the upper minors and that happens to be a weakness of ours. A combination of a couple of those near MLB ready arms along with some sort of other lottery ticket seems about right - and then I'd hope we would sign Happ again in the off season. Albert Abreu, Chance Adams and Juan Then...maybe I'm reaching.

    Matt Moore is being shifted to the bullpen. Well overdue, just hasn't been the same since his TJS. Almost a surely will be seeing his club option declined at seasons end.
