Yeah that seems about right. He was obviously taking a liberty out of frustration, long after the puck was gone.
  4. Didn't even cross my mind yesterday, a lot on the go!

Brady Tkachuk just wallpapered himself lol he's definitely rambunctious out there
  8. You prefer boxers?
  9. The first part seems possible. I don't agree with the other point at all though. The fact that he can also fill in at other positions is just a bonus. He's not going to get enough playing time at those positions to be stunting anyone's growth. Reese McGuire is maybe the one prospect who would have their 2019 MLB playing time affected by Martin sticking around, but Jansen being mentored by Martin while McGuire plays every day in Buffalo is a much better situation than having two rookie catchers.
  10. The only viable reason would be a team actually offering a prospect of notable value, which seems unlikely. Barring that, dumping him for the sake of dumping him does us no good. Keeping him as Jansen's backup this year could be greatly beneficial - a lot more beneficial than eating $16M to get a borderline top 30 prospect or something.
  11. We only have one C prospect who we really should be concerned about blocking (Jansen), and he's not going to be blocked. McGuire is fine starting in Buffallo, Maile is a low value backup at best. Having a great veteran presence to back up Jansen in his first full year is so much more important than whatever you think we accomplish by dumping Martin.
  12. I went with Steve Pearce for a high end comp

Well you at least agree with most Ducks fans on Carlyle.
  14. I'll never be convinced the Alford thing was more than him simply having forgotten to list him on his first ranking and shoving him at the end when someone brought it up.
  15. Wouldn't be informative enough to be worthwhile, or funny enough to be funny. IMO
  16. Lol @ Joe West getting plunked. Reflexes of a rotting stump.

Gibson, Rakell, Manson, Kase, Steel, Comtois were all taken with picks traded to Anaheim by Toronto. The best was the Leafs trading the two picks that ended up being Rakell and Gibson in order to move up a few slots to get Tyler Biggs.

I'm assuming you're bitter they keep turning Leafs drafts picks into star players?
  19. Quote one post where anyone was sure Merryweather would be anything. There's a difference between believing something is possible and thinking that it's likely.

I'd hate to hear what you think of pie
  21. Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray said he simply wasn't healthy in 2018. "I wasnt really healthy," Gray told the Denver Post, "My (velocity) was down this year. I was down about 20 pounds this year. I need to get back to 230-235." In an effort to bounce back after posting a disappointing 5.12 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 9.6 K/9 over 31 starts, Gray plans to hit the gym hard in the offseason and pack on some muscle. The right-hander had bad luck on his side all year and was hurt often by the long ball, allowing a career-high 1.4 homers per nine innings.
  22. He walked off the field without assistance, so in the least it would seem he may have avoided a major concussion. https://twitter.com/PastyA_/status/1050216908581031937?s=19
  23. Wow, that ball still had quite a bit of velocity on it when it ricocheted towards foul ground, that's some scary s***.
