Montoyo specifically said that he has Brito hitting at the top of the order to allow him to audition. Brito has failed miserably, but it’s not true to say he was signed just to make up the numbers.

Awesome, Bellinger and Yellich both starting as well as Trout! By the way, I wish we were nearer to competing so that we could trade for Chris Archer. He’s always been one of my favourites. He’s a free agent in 2022 but will be 33 by then.

He just missed one ball with an attempted dive, but yeah absolutely 0% at fault for that. Looked fine at 3B, wasn’t slow or restricted by his weight, and had a couple of laser guided throws.

I fully intended to watch this game but fell asleep on the sofa. Just woke up to see vlad's play at 3b and now hopefully his first hit!

I dislike comic books and comic book movies for almost the opposite reasons. I love epics with depth but comic book worlds have so many different versions of the same characters it's pointless to me. The only comic book movie I've ever truly enjoyed is Batman Forever, it's got two of my favourite actors Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones, and doesn't take itself seriously. The trend for "serious" ones kicked off by Batman Begins are just ridiculous to me.

Predictions on Vlad's line today? 1 for 3 with 2 strikeouts, a walk and a homerun.

Not the same as he was a pitcher and older, but Dice-K had similar levels of hype to Vlad "the best ever pitcher from Japan", and was OK for a few years only. Jesus Montero is probably the closest I can think of as a hitter to fail completely and I don't think he was ever a number 1 prospect (top 10 for multiple years though). I can't think of any hitter that rose to number one prospect and totally bombed (i.e. didn't even have an OK career). There's probably some really old ones I guess.

Yeah and their lineup is so bad right now, Gio Urshela is their 3B! When they get the majority of their players back the Yankees will be a 100 win team.

It took both Aldridge and DeRozan shooting lights out to combat Jokic. This series has been the pick of the first round (the Warriors have only lost 2 through complacency).

Well some people would have pre ordered tickets before they knew about Vlad's debut. It's not like anyone would be daft enough to have movie tickets 2 nights in a row so they could just go tomorrow instead!
