  1. Maybe chalk that up to shoulder inflammation he suffered with last season. He threw his fair share of innings the last three years. There's something there. Bring him home.
  2. Yeah, I saw the Quantrill one and wondered if it was just a salary dump to save them $6.6M via arbitration which is the Guardians way?
  3. Big moves this offseason? If via trade it has to involve one or more of Vladdy/Bo/Gausman. If via signing, Ohtani or bust. Everything else falls into the perhaps significant but not Big category.
  4. Nolan Gorman is a name that keeps coming up for the last three weeks. Would be a great fit with our infield. I think Atkins is close.
  5. He also knows how hard it is to play first base.
  6. The fact that even Cincinnati fans are content with letting Votto walk should give everyone on this board pause for thought. Don't do it.
  7. Atkins taking accountability on a cold November evening when no one is paying attention. Impeccable timing.
  8. All well and good but if the coach is preaching a hitting philosophy and the players are not buying into it, he should be gone because he's not reaching them. If he is reaching them and they are listening, well he should also be gone because his hitting approach has been a failure. If it was indeed just bad luck, well he should be gone because his impact was of no consequence.
  9. If Votto can put the kaibosh on the post game ice baths by Vladdy, well maybe there's a spot for him.
  10. I get the feeling that they Jays are prepared to open the pocket book even more this upcoming season. Not just the controversial end to last season but they can clearly see the window closing. Is Ohtani a possibility if the number is right? Not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if we take another step in the luxury tax threshold. Jays all in 2024!
  11. Great PR but a waste of money.
  12. I picked Seager for the mvp before the series started. Game one was a blast but pretty average from there on. Pretty much as we all suspected, Texas stomps them. Not very inspiring as can be seen by the low number of comments in the post season thread. Bring on the offseason.
  13. Texas gets out of it. Eovaldi is Houdini tonight.
  14. Atkins checking the scoreboard tonight...
  15. Look how Seager takes off out of the box on contact instead of admiring it and making himself look like a fool if it goes off the wall for a long single. Any similarity to current Blue Jays is purely coincidental.
  16. They're about to win ten consecutive post season road games. They're tough to beat.
  17. This Rangers team has something no other Rangers team has had.....they're likeable.
  18. Gallen with 25 pitches in the first.
  19. Not if they lose. Adolis cannot be stopped.
  20. How about some early WS MVP picks? Texas - Seager Zona - Longoria. Yes, I think the old man gets it done.
  21. I saw his brother in an interview and he was jacked. Yeah a professional trainer and nutritionist would be ideal but this is better than I hoped for. His arms have very little muscle tone though. Hopefully he starts lifting things heavier than pizza slices this off season.
  22. Game 1 can't come soon enough.
  23. Me logging on after a couple of days looking for the post season thread.
