With all Pompey's injuries last year I'm willing to write it off. He tried to play through it or atleast that's what he claims. This year is his year he has to put it together. Will be fun watching him be a pest at the WBC.

Here is hoping. We some decent prospects that can be ready in four years. The problem in this tourney has always been the pitching. We could be set up for a decent run if we can get anyone to commit. If we threw Paxton or Tallion at the Dominican with our full compliment of major league players would have been a fun game. Now we are likely to see Ryan Dempster get slaughtered.

He's still recovering from the surgery he had on the bone bruise he suffered in the playoffs. He recovers like a 90 year old woman apparently. -
Sounds like Freeman is only suiting up for Canada in this WBC. He's better than Hosmer so he could easily be on Team USA.

Apparently the Blue Jays are going to loan minor league players for their 2 exhibition games against Blue Jays and Yankees if they are needed. Vlad Jr should get an at-bat for Canada. He was born in Montreal!
