Well unless they plan to dump Smoak somewhere still don't see where Moreland will fit. Smoak is pretty useless as is. Even more useless taking a roster spot with no at-bats or defensive versatility.

Pearce makes a tremendous amount of sense. But that's already been mentioned a thousand times on this board. Its nice waking up to rumour that doesn't make you cringe. Moreland makes zero sense.

Just get Tim Raines in before its too late.

Well we actually kinda did. LF was wide open and so was the leadoff spot. Saunders had a great first half but they certainly didn't plan on it. They allegedly had money and were willing to take Jay Bruce also threw away 2M on Franklin Morales. I among other people suggested him last year. He signed fairly late. He made a ton of sense while his market value made sense. Now he's going to be grossly overpaid.

This is very true. A lot of upside on starting fresh and surrounding it with things that will only profit them. The problem is that land is being bought up fast. It's something they would need to do in the next 10-15 years or they might have to look outside the city after that. They won't be able to stay in the Rogers Centre forever. After the Rays and A's have their ballpark issues solved. Rogers Centre becomes the new piece of s*** ballpark MLB complains about. If we are not including Fenway which only still stands for nostalgic purposes apparently. Really depends on renovations though. Every renovation to date has been pretty underwhelming. I wouldn't imagine they have a huge budget either.

I'm more annoyed with the strict rules put in place on opening and closing the ballpark. I won't go to games with the roof closed anymore especially when its hot outside because its way to stuffy and I don't feel like sweating balls for 3 hours. Especially when you can actually smell the odor of the people around you. It's super gross. They either need to fix the AC to actually make it effective or get a new roof that can actually open and close without extreme weather restrictions. Apparently they say they won't risk opening it if has a chance to drop below 14 degrees. Seems pretty stupid. You're already jam packed and uncomfortable as is. We have massive football stadiums that can open and close its roof in freezing conditions. That's another thing the roof should only be closed if raining. Not if its to cold or hot for people. We get 3 months of summer I would like to spend as much of it outside as possible. As for location somewhere near the lake front would be lovely. However that's around where they want to build the NFL Football stadium if they ever get a franchise. Atleast that was the plan when they bid on the Bills. You can't worry about surrounding events. We need a Baseball only venue built for only Baseball. You could keep the Rogers Centre to do concerts and that monster truck s***. Rogers purchased that place for pennies. They could do all kinds of s*** with it. They could make it another huge mall for all I care. Those places were built when we were lucky to get 20K a game. I'm sure they can survive without the Blue Jays. Atleast they shouldn't cater to the tourist fan who plans to make a day trip to the city. You want to cater to the people who plan to be the building 40+ times a year.

4 years and 18 million annually for Fowler. I'd pass. If we wanted him so bad probably should have went after him last off-season. 3 years 33M last year before he spurned the Orioles. And took a chance on himself contract with the Cubs instead. Good for him. Hopefully someone else gives him that money.

I don't know he probably went off on somebody. It's not like the mods keep a public record of why they ban people. Although that would be helpful. He could probably use the night off. He's usually not this upset until 2am.
