    We just can’t hit here. And it seems like Oakland has no problem hitting homeruns and we got that warning track power. The ball appears to really carry to CF atleast in the first 2 games.

    Oakland can’t f*** around. They are in a wild card race. They need these games. I’m fine with it.

    The tank is on! Unfortunately so many teams are tanking we could lose 90+ games and still only get the 6th or 7th overall pick

    If it was the NBA I would agree with you. But its Baseball and no salary cap exists. I would rather pay 2 million a year for the next 30 years. Its like a signing a veteran reliever every year.

    I am trying to think of exciting things to watch about this team. I guess watching Giles throw 100 MPH and murdering dugout equipment? Stroman pitching well so we can trade him. That's all I got now that Gurriel is hurt.

    Do we know if its pronounced Cump-ton or Comp-ton. I went to school with a kid named Brandon Compton so that shits going to be weird to hear. But hes probably only here for a few days anyway.

    Deferring the salary certainly makes sense if Rogers is going to use his crippling contract as a reason why we can't spend money to improve the team. You just don't want to get into a habit of doing that.

    Do the Mets get insurance for David Wright? He would be the most comparable to our situation. Perhaps a doctor has to say hes unable to continue to his career to get that insurance.

    I would think the chances he accepts the qualifying offer would be quite high. I doubt anyone else will offer him a 1 year deal at 18 million at this point. Unless he comes back and shows no ill effects and destroys Baseballs for the rest of the year which he is fully capable of.

    Can you imagine the casuals reaction to that lol. That might be the last stand he depressingly leads the team in Homeruns as well.

    Well considering the money hes making he has to play as well. I don't know how he can play SS though if he was already losing a step at SS and now has had surgery on both feet. I do really hope he can back on the field and contribute though.

    Its quite odd that they said LGJ would be out 2-6 weeks yet still list him on the roster.
