    Maybe they traded Pillar and the deal fell through for whatever reason. I wouldn't be shocked if Pillar is shipped out very soon especially if Alford gets off to a hot start in Triple-A.

    Sure thats possible. That just doesn't usually happen. Its usually the 25-guys that made the teams moment unless its an established MLB guy thats just injured in the dugout. If he was under the impression he made the team this is really awkward.

    This is going to be a really bad season. But we have a chance to get off to a really good start with the Tigers and Orioles to start the season lol.

    It would be difficult to enforce that considering someone could have general soreness and be fine a couple days later. The only way they could counter is by saying that pitcher is automatically ineligible to pitch in the next game. They can't force teams to making roster moves. Players come out for precautionary often during the course of the season. Its absolutely going to be attempted. Unless they come out with the rule you suggested which they haven't yet.
