  1. The Jays pitching staff is so incredibly bad. We have ran into a lot of s*** teams lately. The steam rolling is coming.
  2. Nobody should be concerned with silencing the casual fan base. Most of these people aren’t buying tickets or merchandise. They hate their lives and look for reasons to be mad about things. It actually physically disgusts me. That the majority of twitter see’s Alex Anthoplous as some kind of god. They seem to completely forget he’s a large reason why we are in this position to begin with. The Shatkins era turned potentially a decade or more of irrelevance into maybe 3-4 years of bad Baseball tops. Who knows what this team looks like right now if AA stays. Are we paying David Price 30M right now? Are we locked into Edwin and Bautista. Do we have anything in the farm system?
  3. Out of all the people complaining you direct that at me lol. I have been fairly patient with Atkins compared to most people. I still think if reports get out like this it means something went down that’s not nothing. It is completely possible that Atkins fell in love with the idea of the Mets trade that he didn’t check back in with other teams. Its very possible other teams knew of the Mets offer and felt by their own evaluations that the trade wouldn’t get done. The industry as a whole was shocked. Its not nothing.
  4. Drury is hot I really wanted him to work out.
  5. Quoted. Red Thunder is going to be star once he finally gets free to express himself and be far away from the Yankees.
  6. Jesus Christ that’s f***ing annoying.
  7. Sounds like he really just wanted Woods-Richardson and tried to get the highest prospect he could get on top of that. He has forgot to even mention Kay in a lot of his interviews since the trade and is drooling of SWR.
  8. I don't link Shapiro and Atkins as much as everyone else seems to. Shapiro should absolutely be given the choice to replace Ross Atkins if thats the decision he wants to make. Shapiro focus has been more on the Spring Training facility and future renovations for the Rogers Centre. He has appeared to be fairly hands off in this rebuilding process. That may chance once bigger decisions need to be made in terms of being competitive again.
  9. So according to Atkins. Looks like were going to see Derek Fisher and his Johnny Damon arm in CF for a long time.
  10. 5/10 is honestly the best grade you could give this deadline. It was massively disappointing. I thought we would be looking at another couple of top 100 prospects right now minimum to be honest. Stroman trade was a light return although I do think we got an exciting prospect in Woods-Richardson who could become a top 100 prospect sooner rather than than later. Anthony Kay is very meh might be a decent back end starter for the next handful of years. Getting anything for Sogard, Hudson, and Phelps are wins. The Sanchez/Biagini trade was baffling. I don't even like either of them and wanted them to see them get traded but traded for another fringe corner Outfielder plus adding a pretty decent prospect made that a very hard deal to swallow. I would have preferred to have hold onto Sanchez if I knew that would be the return. Not dealing Smoak are Galvis are confusing moves to me. Just get anything for those guys and play Rowdy at 1B and cement Biggio and Bichette up the middle for the rest of the season. I don't know why they are still here? Veteran presents?
  11. How did Smoak not get traded lol.
  12. The initial return was light and then the Jays gave up a decent prospect as well lol. I’m sorry but Stevenson as a throw in is probably better than any prospect we received in any other trade outside of the Stroman trade the last 2 seasons. f***ing yikes man.
  13. Atkins might have finally did it. He may have turned everyone else against him by throwing in the forums darling.
  14. Honestly this is true. Can’t even argue with that. I just would have preferred it wasn’t another OF. If anyone can fix Sanchez its Houston though.
  15. I don’t really like Sanchez either but would have preferred to see him moved to the pen where he could have actually rebuilt some value instead of adding another fringe boring corner outfielder. How many mediocre left fielders do we need?
  16. Disappointed they sold so low on Sanchez. Don’t even see where Fisher plays. He isn’t an upgrade over what we have.
  17. Looks like a good deal for both Cleveland and Cincy. Padres just wanted to get cucked and give Cleveland whatever they wanted.
  18. Why? Someone has to pitch for us next year lol. May as well be him at some point.
  19. I would be shocked if he gets traded now. We are probably looking at less than half his value at this point. This really goes back to Montoyo’s inability to keep the asset healthy by his bizarre usage. 3 days in a row fresh off a DL stint comes to mind. The 4 out saves he came in for despite wins not mattering at all. And the outings he would let him throw well over 20 pitches in tie games. Really disappointing result. Especially it Giles ends up being even more hurt than todays reporting and ends up having surgery resulting in us getting zero return for him next year. A lot of disaster scenarios unfolding infront of our eyes
  20. Well this puts things into perspective really quickly.
  21. Phelps is pretty easily replaceable in the off-season. I will gladly take 6 years of control for a depth starting option and a guy with good enough stuff to convert well to a bullpen role. Like most people I was intrigued by Phelps but his velo was clearly down and didn’t look overly impressive. Maybe he would have looked better next season but once again you can find good relief options fairly cheap late in free agency.
  22. I don’t know how Vlad put up amazing walk rates in the minors. Hes such a wild swinger. They must have thrown him nothing to hit in the minors lol.
  23. Ideally he needs to be away from Montoyo. The front office should be making the lineups for him at this point anyway.
  24. Casual fans are going in on anybody on twitter that has a rational thought on the Stroman trade lol.
  25. I’m sure Galvis would like to move on as well. He can be a backup infielder for a contending club not one trying to finish as low in the standings as possible. He signed with the Blue Jays to be a starting shortstop this season and that’s the only reason. They won’t hold his hostage because of a team option. If they can get any extra value out of that option at all you’re a pig in s*** happy but otherwise an intriguing lottery ticket would be a nice return. Bring up Urena to backup the infield.
