    Still walking to many but nice to see him and settle in and make the adjustment. Will probably be a big part of this rotation next year.

    I would say zero chance. Giving long term extensions to relievers is a risky buisness especially with the injury scares Giles has had. He’s good but you can find relievers. I think you will see less and less long term extensions for them going forward. I love watching Giles pitch don’t get me wrong but he wouldn’t be here right now if he didn’t get injured at the wrong time.

    Jury is very much out on that. What remains is players not wanting to play on it and I don't blame them. Baseball should have made every team do grass only fields a long time ago.

    Not sure what you’re trying to get at here. Weird attempt at sarcasm. Are we going to pretend he didn’t run all over the turf because he was initially positioned on dirt? Like everytime he ventured in foul ground for instance?

    The only thing else that package would generate is a couple low minor lottery tickets at the most. I don’t know what you expected a package of struggling Sanchez, a generic reliever, and a low minors prospect whose ceiling might be a bench contributor was going to net you. I didn’t like the trade but to really be arguing about weeks later is excessive at this point. Much worse moves have been made.

    Fisher is nothing and so is the pieces Atkins gave up for him. Time to move on. Not worth arguing or stressing out about.

    Would have been nice if they gave the players hand in designing the uniform. My guess is they would opt to go for a very classic and retro look with a lot of colour.

    I completely forgot Clay Buchholz was on this team. I guess because he was throwing 83 MPH cutters.

    Most of thats out of the teams hands though. Vlad has to want to do that for himself. You can force him to lose weight but that severely damage the relationship with the player.
