    Merrifield ultimately gotta make the decision that’s best for him. I can’t imagine him choosing to lose that money but if he does I have tremendous respect for his principles. This is completely on the Jays not him. They choose to trade for him knowing the circumstances. I think it’s incredibly stupid that they traded for an unvaccinated player. I assumed he got it when the trade was made. If he still isn’t I’m pretty mind blown they pulled the trigger on this especially with Max Castillo able to contribute right now.

    It’s also why you don’t trade Max Castillo. I would feel much more comfortable with our depth if he was still in the picture.

    I don’t know if he can even get on a plane and travel to other cities not vaccinated. I know you can’t here for sure. They recently approved Train travel. But you can’t get on an airplane in Canada unvaccinated.

    He can’t be anti vaxed otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to travel in America as a non citizen.

    I got it at C for many of the reasons listed above. I just don’t see any game changing talent. The Bullpen feels deeper but it doesn’t really feel better. I still don’t think we addressed its biggest weakness that’s what’s tough to accept. Its more of a feeling like Cimber, Phelps, Mayza, and Garcia don’t have to pitch every night. You got a bunch of guys now that are good to pitch the 6th or 7th inning. I guess will see. I was hoping for more impactful roster changing trades.

    #9 hitter hit an absolute piss missile but he got it done. Can never have enough run support for the 9th inning with Romano.

    I was getting concerned about all the contact he was giving up. Like more hits than innings pitched for a guy capable of missing the bats the way he can is highly unusual. But hes been absolutely dominate tonight in an important game against a division rival.
