    Correa playing 3B would be dumb. He’s like a year removed from winning a Platinum Glove at Shortstop lol

    The depth proposition is spicy. It would definitely be the deepest Jays team have had in I can't even remember. Gurriel can be worked in multiple places but not really an ideal 4th OF at the same time because he can't play anywhere but LF. He can definitely play 1B though which would allow Vlad to DH a good chunk of games to help keep him healthy.

    Conforto just really rounds out this lineup for me. But can they promise him everyday at-bats. I can't imagine him wanting to sign somewhere he isn't locked into a LF or RF job.

    Cueto quietly put up 3.5 WAR last season. If you’re projecting that in the 5th slot that’s a pretty special rotation. They seem pretty firm on Kikuchi being the 5th Starter though. Hopefully he pitches well but they need to be prepared to pivot quickly if it doesn’t work.

    Have to be the least sexiest 20 million dollar a year Free Agent signing. But if we can give us 8-9 WAR over the next 3 years I would be thrilled. Consistently good is all my expectations are.

    My pleasure. Lets hope the Front Office doesn’t decide to trade a Catcher for an Outfielder just because we “need” one. Wait until teams are willing to play ball. They can f*** off until then. Going into Spring with all 3 would be a power move.

    Also Atkins saying the Jays have a Top 5 Bullpen is comical at best. I think its 2 significant relievers away at a minimum. And I’m concerned if there’s no other plan to add. They basically added Swanson to last years pen.

    Just because there’s options doesn’t mean teams want to trade them for the Jays catchers. You can’t force a trade that’s not there.

    I like the idea of keeping all 3 Catchers if you aren’t getting the type of return you should be getting. Moreno doesn’t need to start the year in the Majors. He didn’t exactly break the door down to begin with. The depth will likely benefit us greatly. And a good trade can always materialize down the road. I have zero faith Kirk holding up as a full time Catcher. Unless he makes a dramatic commitment to the body.

    So yea Kevin Kiermaier wanted an everyday job in CF and I’m guessing the Dodgers weren’t willing to offer him that. Makes sense.

    Gurriel can play 1B and both Springer and Vlad will DH plenty. Kiermaier probably doesn’t need more than 3 starts a week and won’t play against Lefties. If you have the option of adding a Conforto you make that move. There’s at-bats to go around. And injuries usually take care of most of those issues. Our 4th Outfielder is currently Merrifield and Biggio? And Merrifield might actually be the Starting Second Baseman. Lukes the only other Outfielder on the 40-man.
