Yea this would be nice. And maybe entices more pitching jumping on board for the next Classic. When you advance out of group you can on that and convince players maybe they could actually get to a final four in 2029. It doesn't always seem like it but more Canadians are playing in MLB than ever although you could argue the star power isn't as noticeable. This Lineup would look a lot different with Freddie Freeman hitting 3rd and Tyler Black on the bench.

I'm not saying they are not. But they have to beat the Dominicans and the US to win the classic. And its hard to imagine that Dominican team losing right now. Offense is just firing on all cylinders and its relentless. It would take a great pitcher to shut that lineup down.

Kind of confused why Matt Davidson isn't getting any playing time. I didn't even know he was Canadian until a week ago. And his MLB career was rather mediocre but he's been one of the best players in the KBO the last 3 years. I feel like against this level of competition he should be in there mashing.

Until Canadian pitching actually makes some kind of commitment to this tournament its hard for me to get emotionally invested. We got retired pitchers here when guys like Jonah Tong, Matt Brash, Nick Pivetta, Cade Smith are just chilling in Spring camp.

No it's even funnier than that. He hasn't pitched in any Baseball league since 2019 lol. He pitched in the 2023 WBC and here and thats it lol.

If a team team trades for him with the intention of him going into their rotation they are going to have to give up something of substance otherwise it doesn’t make sense for the Jays who clearly value depth. But has privately asked for a trade although it’s starting to come out now.
