    He really isn’t that special. He was phenomenal early in the season. But he’s literally been a middle reliever the majority of his tenure. He literally gave up more hits than innings pitched last season lol. Don’t talk to me like he’s an elite reliever.

    The team had no money. Paying relievers 6 million is dumb. Especially ones as volatile as Yimi Garcia. Congrats he had a good half season. Has the team hit? The move was about putting more money into the offense. Nobody thought the pen would be this bad this season. It was actually a strength last year.

    I think your missing the point. They didn't get any value now period. Whether they traded him now or later made no difference. This move didn't scream we needed to do this right now. They got 2 nothing burgers.

    We didn't get any value period. We traded a guy who can pitch in the big leagues for 2 guys that will likely never make it. They aren't even overly young lol.

    Don't really understand this trade at all. Pearson will make nothing in arb. Why not just try a couple more years to get him to figure it out. He just started throwing the 2-seamer. Giving up on him at 27 just seems stupid. Especially considering he's now been mostly healthy and still has times he looks dominant just not consistent. Feel good for him. Going to an organization that might actually be able to turn him into something. Lord knows this team can't develop pitching.

    Yea the moron’s who wanted money invested into the offense because the team had no hope of hitting. Loved being pressed up against the cap because they couldn’t develop their own pitching so overpaid everyone. Relievers are so volatile. Yimi looked terrible at times. Especially last year.

    Yes move him please. Team is going to be bad for several years. Don’t need overpriced relievers.

    Not trading Vlad this week/end could have a ripple effect that could hamstring the organization for a half a decade or longer. You have an aging and expensive roster that’s deprived of talent. Virtually nothing in the pipeline. Easily a bottom 5 farm system in Baseball. Nothing is even on the horizon if you factor injuries. Vlad is the asset that can net you multiple top tier prospects if you trade him now. A team will give up more to have his bat for year and half and 2 full playoff runs. Opposed to just one Season where he’s a pending free agent. Going to free agency with him would just be a disaster and if you lose him for a comp pick. That’s an organizations destroying move. Sadly thats exactly what I think is going to happen. Watching this team is like watching a car crash in slow motion and you have no power to impact anything. It’s very difficult to be a fan. I love the Blue Jays. Can’t stand how they operate. God were so f***ed

    It’s unfortunate how bad this front office is. I don’t think it’s because they are just dumb though. They have made some very stupid decisions. But I feel like Rogers basically tells them they can’t rebuild or move marquee players in trades. Only thing that makes sense. They know they should trade Vlad but I’m thinking Rogers says no because asses in seats.

    This is the best possible time to trade Vlad. You can’t f*** this up again. Jump start the rebuild. This team is very far away from contending and you already don’t want to pay him what he’s commanding based on reports. Get it f***ing done now. You can’t piss away another asset. I still can’t believe how badly they f***ed up the Donaldson situation. They must learn from that.

    Kikuchi got his s*** absolutely kicked in last time out. So hopefully he’s back to his norm so we can some freaking value out of him. This has to be the all time worst trading regime ever. We need prospects so badly.

    You can obviously dream on guys like Caminiti and Lindsey and even to a lesser extent Honeycutt who was someone I wanted at our pick because he's electric. But we can't complain with a getting a guy that considered top 3 or 4 college pitchers in this draft. Ranked much higher than we picked. And is a polished fast mover but also has stuff. He can touch 98 and he has 2 legit off-speed pitches. I'm happy anyway.
