  1. Most organizations work like this now. In real time John Schneider is probably pushing the buttons. But they have all these scenarios and matchups planned out well in advanced. The Bullpen game was definitely constructed by Pete Walker and the other pitching coaches with insights from the front office. You don't really know how everything is going to play out on the field. But they know what pitcher they wanted to face what hitters and what spots and portions of the game.
  2. The older Vlad gets I think the scarier he gets because once he fully understands his ability to control the strikezone and attack the pitches he needs to attack that is when he truly becomes elite. We know he can hit the ball inside or away. He just needs to put it all together and we saw in this playoffs when he does how crazy good he can be. Way to often at the plate and why his regular season numbers look pedestrian compared to other stars is chasing bad pitches. Or jamming himself on pitches he should be crushing. Once that light goes on we might be looking at multiple MVP's. We know its in there we just need to see it consistently. The fun thing about the Post Season is everything is small sample and this is the time to get s*** done. And he's doing it and then some.
  3. Judge has already had some injury problems in his career. That's likely the only thing that will slow him down. At the minimum I think he has another 2-3 years of elite production though. That steep decline comes usually between 35-37. Unless your George Springer apparently.
  4. He's also seemingly getting worse defensively. Even if they retain him I don't think he can stay at SS. And Jazz at Second don't know what his long term fit is.
  5. Very excited for tonight's game that will decide our opponent on Sunday. Also exciting to know regardless of who it is will have to fly across the country to play in Toronto on Sunday. I never expected this series to go all 5 games. But now Detroit has a chance to steal it with Skubal on the mound.
  6. I would probably be fine spending $110 if I can move around the ballpark. The concourses have excellent visuals now and I would be fine finding a perch somewhere. Probably in some situations better than seats people paid more for. It just sucks getting general admission seats if you want to take your girlfriend/wife or kids because they want to sit and be comfortable somewhere.
  7. I apologize to the King of New York. I knew he liked playing in the Bronx. I didn't know he was going to decide to take it over.
  8. I thought it was implied that I meant you can only have a max of 13 pitchers. Of course you can have less but it would seem only crazy to take less. Yankees situation was really unique but even that put them in a bind by only really allowing them to take one left-handed reliever. The fact that they carried 3 catchers which they didn't use or didn't use Dominguez until the final inning of their season. They probably would have been way better served to take another pitcher.
  9. Well with the Phillies out only the Brewers remaining finished with a better record than the Blue Jays. Home field advantage in the World Series would be quite fun. So go Cubs!
  10. Easily but he panicked
  11. Brutal loss
  12. I mean he had a 6 inning 9k outing.
  13. Luzardo just comes in painting lol
  14. Sasaki looks unhittable in this role.
  15. Nicholas Cage with the Phillies season on the line.
  16. Well he didn't want us. The Jays did everything they could. Don't need to play the what if game with him. Myles Straw being an actual contributor is the real shock.
  17. I think I want Bo on the roster now just so it prevents IKF from making starts against left-handed pitching the rest of the playoffs
  18. On paper this is a nightmare matchup for Teo. But he seems to come through for the Dodgers in these situations.
  19. And Duran walks Betts to tie the game wow.
  20. I don't care if hes 1-17 either. I'm not pitching to Ohtani in that situation.
  21. Kike just keeps hitting in the playoffs. Abysmal season. But as soon as October starts he's locked in per usual.
  22. Depending matchups having all of them would be nice. You take out Bruihl, Nance, and IKF. Insert Bo, Bassit, and Scherzer and you got length. The option to use one as a 4th starter. Or leverage roles depending on what you need. Do we want Nance on the mound in any situation we wouldn't rather see Max or Bassit?
  23. Glasnow is f***ing dominating.
  24. I think depending on the game situation he could fill both. I think he might also pitch himself into a more leverage role depending how the first outing goes. He did throw a 5 inning simulated game on Tuesday. So they are keeping him streched out. But he will be deployable in all situations.
