  1. I don't understand why our FO or Charlie can't understand the logic in only giving guys the DH rest day when Kirk is catching. By choosing to do it on days he's not, you remove the best hitter from the lineup. It's common sense. It shouldn't be this hard.
  2. Yep. Let's say he hits .270 with average defense up here and a .750 OPS. That's better than what Tapia and Zimmer offer.
  3. Zuleta shelled a bit with 5R in 2IP but did have 4K still.
  4. He has played 3B before but I'm not sure he has this season yet.
  5. That's great! I expect Frasso to join the list as well by end of season. Santos is the type of guy who could really blow up with a ln offseason at the PC working on increasing velocity on the 4FB. He seems to have great command and a nasty SL. If he can get up to the mid-90s instead of low-90s, he could be something amazing.
  6. Siddall is banging on the "tipping pitches" drum. It honestly could just be that. The stat of Twins players only swinging at 20% of Splitters after swinging at 70% in the 1st 7 starts says it all. He's doing something that's easy to pick up.
  7. Honestly, that's part of what we I'm thinking too. Kirk has just been a better game caller and framer. I question pitches and setups that Jansen calls frequently. I rarely do that with Kirk.
  8. I don't understand why teams are so easily shelling Gausman lately. Is it that easy to read the splitter out of his hand, or has he been tipping his pitches for weeks?
  9. I really don't like Jansen as a game caller. Some of these pitch choices and location set-ups are odd at the time, and always seem to get hit as well.
  10. Yeah.. Optimal order with the same people and positions right now, imo, is below: 1. CF Springer 2. DH Kirk 3. 1B Guerrero Jr 4. SS Bichette 5. RF Hernandez 6. C Jansen 7. 2B Espinal 8. LF Gurriel Jr 9. 3B Chapman
  11. Kirk for Max Meyer. Would we do it and would Miami do it. Meyer is unproven in the majors but he's already in AAA. Could finish his season in AAA and come up and help us in the BP for September and into the Playoffs. Then in 2023, he's in the rotation.
  12. Yeah, we could even see Groshans move to a corner OF spot and Moreno take over 3B. There are tons of options. You know, interestingly enough, Kirk seems to call a better game than Jansen, imo. A lot of our pitchers have had their best games of the season pitching to Kirk, and some of their worst against Jansen. Could just be small sample noise, but game calling is a thing. Also, Kirk appears to be the better pitch framer as well and has a cannon behind the plate. I'm not sure how much better defensively Jansen even if anymore.
  13. Moreno should be getting work in a 3B and 2B in addition to C. The combinations could be so amazing. 1. CF Springer 2. C Kirk/Moreno/Jansen 3. 1B Guerrero Jr 4. SS Bichette 5. RF Hernandez 6. DH Kirk/Jansen/Chapman 7. 2B Espinal 8. LF Gurriel 9. 3B Chapman/Moreno
  14. Vlad needs a couple days off to spend in the hitting lab and take a breath.
  15. I think he's far too low. He should be approaching Top 50 if not inside it.
  16. It's crazy. I hadn't looked it up, but Arden jus said Berrios is bottom 10% in the league in most underlying metrics. That's horrendous.
  17. If Atkins doesn't DFA this bum after the game, he's a jackass.
  18. BBorucki and Merryweather need to be off this roster man... Atkins, WTF are you doing? At least try some of the dudes in AAA like Hernandez. I can't imagine they'd be worse.
  19. Yep, and we have him for 7 more years after this
  20. Wish Pete could work his magic on Berrios. He definitely does not look good this season.
