    At this rate, he'll become Syndergaard. With that said, Thor himself has put on 20-30 lbs of muscle in the past couple years, so there may be something there I guess?

    I was pretty damn close, only he still outperformed my projections .

    The best thing about this performance is you just know that Stroman is dying to try and top it now lol. Their friendly competition is going to be great this season!

    I still find it amazing how simply adding some weight to his frame balanced out his mechanics so much to allow for this type of metamorphosis.

    Until his next start when he racks up 10 K's and 0 BB. Well, I can dream..

    Command, no, but he did have pretty good control. I think he doesn't need to have expert command as long as he can harness his control like tonight, and that change and curve continue to flash plus.

    No but that truly was like watching a butterfly hatch out of a caterpillar cocoon. He hatched into a completely different skill set. I think if you combine this performance with the spring, it's time to buy in, he's different and he looks to be legit. I mean a 17% SwStr% on this start as a whole is amazing. His FIP, xFIP, K/9, BB/9, GB% should reveal all after the next few starts, but he really does look tremendous.

    He basically said that this rule came into play to keep players safe and and his contact was as soft and subtle as possible. He also said that, at some point common sense needs to come into play and they need to question whether the throw was even affected at all by the contact and if Edwin would have been safe regardless. The fact that they made the ruling they did shows they didn't even consider it.
