Maybe? If he did, it's a bad call, because many of these hitters can't catch up to the speed. Martin's called a pretty bad game tonight compared to last week. He's barely called any changeups and the pitch looked excellent every time he tossed it.
He's used the change a few times, even got a swinging strike with it, but hasn't used it as much as he should be. Martin needs to start calling it more in the later innings.
And the fact that the Ump has screwed both him and Tanaka out of 10-15 strikes each so far. He threw an awesome changeup early for a swinging strike, Martin needs call it more often.
