  1. Ok the Ump f***ed him there.
  2. Sanchez has missed every spot so far tonight.
  3. That's what I'm most interested in from him in this start.
  4. I think Stro and Happ could outperform that expectation, but I do expect something close to that from Dickey, Estrada, Sanchez (not buying into the change just yet).
  5. I'm going to buy into new Sanchez for this game at least. I'm thinking: 7 IP, 6 K, 0 BB, 5 hits, 2 R
  6. http://m.mlb.com/tor/video/topic/73955164/v573264883/tortb-pillar-covers-92-feet-to-make-diving-catch/?c_id=tor Statcast on Pillar's catch! 97 route efficiency!
  7. He topped out at 98 mph last season, but averaged 94.3. http://i.snag.gy/5j8KS.jpg
  8. Storen going all racist. KKK.
  9. He does get strikeouts though with a 10 K/9 in 2015, which Janssen never could.
  10. The f***? A 90 mph fastball down the middle. Storen offering some juicy morsels to tee off on.
  11. I really can't wait until Travis returns and Pillar is removed from the lead-off spot
  12. Keirmaier's mortal?
  13. f*** right off, the same thing happened in Kansas last season with that Amish scrub and they ruled that in their favor.
  14. The movement on that oppo taco was sick!
  15. Saunders swinging through a low 90s fastball straight down the middle.
  16. Bautista having a great at-bat at least.
  17. Many strikeout pitchers drop their K-rate by 2 points or so in their 1st season in the MLB, but it begins to climb back in following seasons. This is true with guys like Kershaw, Archer, Kluber, etc. There's also strange cases like deGrom where it increases exponentially in the majors from the minors.
  18. Agreed. It's just, for some reason, this conversation changed into whether Stro was capable of being a strikeouts pitcher.
  19. No, but it shouldn't drop to 6 k/9 either.
  20. This was before his 1st call up. http://i.snag.gy/UciLo.jpg He's been a strikeout guy his entire career before getting called up. It's obvious that there was a change of direction/thinking with him, whether it was advice from someone else or his own. Either way, I'm questioning why he made the trade-off? His FIP was still pretty decent with all of those K's and his BB/9 was good as well.
  21. I understand that shooting for groundballs minimizes his hard hit and homerun rates, but, personally, I really enjoyed his K-rate in the minors and dislike the trade-off. I just don't think that the trade-off is all that smart. I mean, Kershaw compiled 232 IP last year as a strikeout pitcher, so why can't Stroman pitch the way he did in the minors, with that >10 K/9?
