  1. It should be really interesting if there was to be another save situation tm... would Gibby bring out Osuna again? I'm sure Osuna's still the closer in his mind, and if so he'd probably want to give Osuna a chance to redeem himself and head into the playoffs with more confidence.
  2. That was an amazing play without a doubt but certainly not a type of play I wish he makes a habit of doing on every opportunity. I'd like to think there was much more motivation there on that play in particular than usual due to Estrada's perfect game still being on the line at that time.
  3. The situation with the AL West/WC is still very much up in the air so we can't be sure of what our path will be in the playoff at this time (there's still a possibility of a play-in game for the West which would further deplete pitching/stamina of BOTH teams ahead of WC game/ALDS game 1), so there's really no point in wondering about what the "better" path will be at this point IMO... Plus even if we don't get the HFA there's no guarantee that Royals make it out of the ALDS. Let's just see how things end up tomorrow and we'll just have to take what we get.
  4. I still think we could have taken a rotation approach for each of the Baltimore games to balance out the squad more rather than going all out AAA squad, but if Gibby saw HFA as not being worthy of braving that out, then I'd say fair enough and that's that. I'd have to think that guys are really more beat up than what it seems to us from the outside right now.
  5. Houston gonna be trollin' lot of teams tonight, lol.
  6. Another 1 run loss scoring 4 runs or less btw...
  7. Indicates to me that he's lost a lot of confidence in locating his fastball. Souza hadn't hit a high fastball all day (and was late on it that whole at bat) so there really was no reason to throw 3 sliders there. I know he's been getting hit hard lately but he also can't be moving away from his strength too much which is that fastball at the end of the day.
  8. Geez. Probably not much chance at that first overall now... plus we got Osuna to worry about now as well.
  9. Wow, a big K after being down 3-0.
  10. phew Longoria out of the way now... but onto Cabrera who scares me the most actually.
  11. Ugh... not a good start.
  12. Big test for Osuna here going through the heart of the order in a 1 run game.
  13. This Ump is trollin' hard lol.
  14. Personally prefer the RC one, but anything's better than that old Yankees stadium one in the 80's-early 90's where it was panned to the left for some reason...
  15. Yeah, I'd actually arrange it so that he pitches at home instead of in NY. Not that Skydome isn't any less HR happy in general, but at least we don't have to deal with that ridiculously short porch. Same with Dickey to a lesser extent.
  16. Good call Gibby with the hook. Good job by Estrada, but his HR proneness will continue to make me very nervous come playoff time...
  17. Thank god these HRs are only solo shots.
  18. Hopefully JD can get a few hits tm to at least get to that .300 average, a quiet day for him today.
  19. Estrada certainly worries me with HR proneness, I have to say... We basically have to pray they don't have any runners on board when they do.
  20. Yeah, I think they stopped wearing the greys for a long period in 2013 season as well. The players certainly don't seem to like wearing them too much, probably its part superstition and part them liking the blue alternates more. I appreciate the greys more than they do I guess since it looks close to their road greys of the championship years. (We didn't get the alternate blue jersey until 1994)
  21. Really glad to see the return of the road greys, even if it is forced by the Rays wearing their alternates. Hope they win with it today to shake off that superstition they have with greys being bad luck/blues being good luck.
  22. Pillar was rolling his eyes the whole time and avoiding any eye contact with Davis... lol.
  23. The road greys return tonight after a long hiatus due to Tampa going "f*ck your superstitions we're gonna use our own blue tone alternates today" lol. Thanks Tampa, I like the road greys and the whole superstition with the alternate blue is ridiculous anyway.
